Offset Question

Sup everyone! In the market for some aftermarket wheels and had my eyes on the V802s from VMR for a while. Spoke with a rep who recommended a staggered 19x8.5 ET35 in front and 19x9.5 ET45 in the rear. I stumbled upon the TSW Sebring wheel and fell absolutely in love, only issue is they dont make a 19x9.5 ET45 with ET40 being the closest offset. Is this really going to make a drastic difference? First time buying wheels so want to make sure I have it right.

Et40 for the rear is really good flush look.

Heres a pic of 18x8 ET30, Id be careful going too crazy or you'll be poking out which is a bad look in my opinion.

Yeah I agree, but looks like the rear stock offset is ET47 for 19s if Im not mistaken? I thought 40 would look significantly different but I just saw an F32 build here with that offset in the rears and looked fine.

Hey man this is my new rear setup with 19x10 et 45 on 275-35-19 Michelin Pilot 4s. Based on the specs you're mentioning this should be very comparable to how much poke you will have. Mine may poke 1-2mm more. I love the way it turned out on my car and the poke is just right for my taste

Fun website that really helped me through the tire/wheel buying process

here is mine F36
19x8.5 et35 with 245/35
19x9.5 et45 with 265/35

look at my rear et45, the wheel is still plenty tuck in. I think et40 will make it flush more but when I was looking for wheels I was worried about tire selection.... sidewall vary from tire brands to tire brands and I was looking at 275 but I end up with 265 because it was a good deal

Love to see other Gran Coupes I have another question I just thought of right now: I have a set of wheels and tires ready in my cart at Discount Tire (American Tire in my area) and remembered I have TPMS. How would I go about those for my new set?

For anyone curious, my final setup is the following:

2x 225/40/19 Michelin Sport 4S Front
2x 255/35/19 Michelin Sport 4S Rear
2x 19x8.5 ET35 TSW Sebring Front
2x 19x9.5 ET40 TSW Sebring Rear

2x 225/40/19 Michelin Sport 4S Front
2x 255/35/19 Michelin Sport 4S Rear

You can transfer your tpms to the new wheel OR

You either buy OEM or buy Aftermarket. Only Aftermarket I know that works are continental branded tirerack.com sells.

Be careful when buying OEM tpms, you better be sure they are correct for your F3x. BMW switch brand midway.

Go get the tpms part # from the dealer.

Apexpart have a tpms guide here.... scroll down

I have a 2015 M-Sport 335i with the 19 inch wheels. I'm looking at buying a square set of 18x8 wheels for 225/45-18 snow tires. I've seen some recommending 30mm offset while others, including the BMW offered wheels are 34mm offset. Is anything in this range recommended?

34mm will be better although both will fit, standard is 34/35 depending on wheel diameter. the 30mm will stick out 4mm more than standard

i would stick with 34mm as you dont want any winter slush, salt, rocks, etc.. blasting the side of your car. i run 235/45/18 for a little extra winter cushion and it corrects the speedo while filling the wheel well some. could also run that size as well.
