There's all sorts of stuff under the seat that can rattle if loose. Be careful under there, if you disconnect any wiring while poking around it could cause a restraint device fault error, which requires a diagnostic tool to clear. To prevent that disconnect the negative battery post first. I'm not aware of anything in the light switch that can rattle. Perhaps it's something behind that area.

I just found a folding knife and a dollar fifty in loose change in vent tube under the drivers seat. I was hearing this change jingle under hard braking and sometimes in the turns, but I could not figure out where it was coming from. Today vacuuming out the floor in back I notice the vent (for first time) and tapped on it. Voila! the rattle. I don't use cash and get back coins very often and the knife does not look familiar. So I am thinking I have only taken my car to two places since I've owned it. Both business seem to be reputable. Is it possible I've dropped a $1.50 in change over the last two years and not noticed? yes for sure. Is it also possible that some dubious business owners put loose change in vents, so you go back later complaining about a rattle? I sure hope not. It just seems odd, especially since the rattle did not sound like a mechanical issue. It sounded too much like loose change for me to be concerned I had a issue, like the brake cable retainer clip or something. I was a win,win for me. I did not have a major problem and I am now $1.50 richer. I'm thinking of putting a grill over this tube, so this won't happen again.
