XDrive Tire Difference
Hello, I know this topic has been discussed before, but I do have a question. I’ve heard a rule of thumb is 1% tire circumference difference. I’ve also heard of people running up to 3-4% without issue. If I get a setup that is for sale currently that is about 1.9-2.1% difference would that cause any issues with the Xdrive/transfer case? Thanks

Agreed. The 1% figure is spot on with old totally mechanical AWD configurations, but the electronic xDrive has more wiggle room. But I wouldn't be going much beyond 2%.

I’m at 2.7 and you can definitely tell it’s not perfect

2018 340i xDrive msport. Currently everything stock.
Thinking of purchasing some TE37 SL 18x9.5 et35 squared set. Would run 255/40/18 or 245/40/18 to keep similar rolling diameter. Think I’ll probably have to put some spacers for the fronts. Anyone else run a similar setup or know more? |
