Need help ASAP!! From anyone who has done a b58 XDrive downpipe

Need help ASAP from anyone who has done a b58 ER downpipe on XDrive. How are the spacers installed? Is it the 10 small ones on the pan and the 2 large ones on the DP bracket?

I used 4 washers from Home Depot on the belly pan. Buy a few extra since they are so cheap and see what it takes

I got the ones that ER gives you. There's more spacers than there is skid plate bolts

You only need to use on the one bolt in the corner next to the down pipe. Just pull down and insert spacer

I did that pipe on a 2016 340 B58, and no spacers were required. I just pried the DP a bit so when it all tightened up there was nothing touching (first attempt I knew better but didn't check and it was rubbing on the pan/mounts).

Would anyone happen to know a part number or a comparable replacement for the vband clamp, bolt, and nut that attaches to the turbo? I'm having to cut the bolt because it and the nut are stripped. For a job that was supposed to be somewhat simple and take about 2 hours has been a HUGE pain.

I just used the 2 large ones on the back corners of the pan. Most only use 1 on the passenger side corner.

Can you tell me if I got this right? This pan was about half and inch below the downpipe flange before installing any washers.

I shammed the large one in there first to see if it was still vibrating, and it was. I then used the second large washer to really try and give it some space - and I'm still getting some vibration. There's now about 2 inches of clearance.

The only other contact point I can see is on the top of the midpipe, there's a nut making contact? I really thought these spacers would do the trick :/

FYI, the zip tie was temporary so I could run to Home Depot to pick up another M10x1.5 10.9 grade nut, because the original wasn't log enough to reach the threads on the other side of the washers.

I still have a small vibration, but it only happens after the car has heated up some. Very strange. I may try and take it to an Indy shop to see if they can isolate where the noise is coming from.

When I have the car in neutral and rev it up, it doesn't happen, it's only while driving and around 2k rpm

You shouldn't have to use both of those washers. Loosen the 2 bolts on the downpipe bracket and the try and push it up a little. You should have a little wiggle room, maybe 1/8"-1/4" which will give you enough clearance to run 1 washer and hopefully take care of your vibration.

I tried that first, it's up as high as it can go :/

Now that I have some more clearance I may try and bring it down a scooch (real word?), so the midpipe isn't as high. It may be vibrating against the heat shield that is right at the DP/MP clamp.

I have this same exact situation, trying really hard to just let it go.

It almost sounds like something is loose. It shouldn't be vibrating that much. Double check the 2 bolts for the DP (hanger ones) and the midpipe connection. Maybe it needs to go into the midpipe more, then tighten? It could be why yours is vibrating more than the rest of us.

Bit the bullet, took it to an exhaust shop to have them troubleshoot. Couldn't stand the vibration anymore.
