That went quickly!!

Well, Friday 29th May I get a call that my car rejection is accepted by BMW and we can finally move forwad. Wednesday 3rd May I'm called into the dealers to choose a replacement F31 which is a factory build car. At the same time I pick up another F31 provided by BMW UK to drive whilst mine is being built. So today, only 3 weeks after choosing the new one and I get a call saying the new car is due at the dealers next Tuesday with delivery on the Wednesday. That's 4 weeks from choosing a replacement to delivery WTF!!! I can only thik that production is down due to the new model coming out. I think this will be the first (and probably last ) UK red on red F31

That's not a LCI one then?

They may have robbed another slot - demo car or cancelled order maybe?

Not an LCI no and not a cancelled order, they modified an existing build slot. All the same I thought they took 4 weeks just to get here?

I ordered mine on 24/04 and delivered on 01/06 that's quietest build for me so far last April took 8weeks and in November 12weeks but that was due to Msport brake shortage. 4weeks is pretty good, enjoy your Red Devil

Are they flying the damn things over that's quicker than from when my XF was physically built to it being delivered and it only had to travel 30 miles to get to the dealers.

Yep - I thought they had got the dates wrong but ..

Pref Cust Hand Dt 30/09/2014 SOUTHAMPTO
Date 05/12/2014 Possible Week 49-12-2014
10/2014 Production Week 46-11-2014 Pref PM 08
t 10/11/2014 5300 Pre Assembly Start

and it was allocated a reg on 19/11! I think some of the speed was due to the PDI being done at southhampton according to the dealer.

Good news you are getting it quickly. You'll no doubt be pleased to finally have a fully working car at last!

Update: Originally i thought my car was supposed to be starting to get built next week, but i've just had a call from the dealer and he says they completed production of it on the 25th

So just got to get it over here now, and then whatever else they do. So, probably a couple of weeks to get mine.
