Theres no way that grille will ever look good - it's far too big and totally unnecessary as can be seen by the fact the top half is blanked off. Black hides it a bit but it's still utterly ridiculous.

Its the solid bit at the top of the grill that doesn't open that looks the worst imo. Cheap and plasticky

I've already warmed to the look of the G20 including the front end. The grill looks so much better in black than chrome though.

Already got my eye on a M340i touring in a few years time!

Interesting that the G20 is now available as an AUC. That quite often seems to be the starting gun for pre reg cars and proper discounting. I wonder what this decent spec 330d lists at:

https://usedcars.bmw.co.uk/vehicle/2...5-04197b4d331b

Or this 330i

thinknim done with 3 series now, love love live my f80, the new m3 doesn't appeal, particularly when you look at how much more the monthlies will be due to last years fantastic deals.

Really have no idea what I'll be buying in 3 years time, theres I chance I may go down the SUV route and look to restore a mk2 mr2 or a supra as a semi track car. That's if I'm not in a position to buy a 488 buy then in which case I will have completed cars and wont care any more

if they bring out a hot version of the new supra, that may also be a consideration, or maybe a heavily modded standard one. I was at a car show the other week and there was a cos worth supercharged gt86 that was everything that the car should have always been.

all of the above is subject to a house move so I have a large garage.

The front of the 30d is a mess IMO. Back end looks like an Audi. Really not my cuppa at all.

The whole of the G20 is a mess in my opinion. Looks like a Lexus from the front and rear and the digital instrument display with the backwards revolution counter just looks wrong and awkward.

It reminds me of the bangle era. Messed up design which gradually will grow on you.

I'm not sure that design era ever grew on me to be honest and i don't think they are dating particularly well either.

Not a good sign that I'm already thinking about the LCI and hope that they sort out the fuck up that is that front end and awkward door handles.

I started to kind of like the black grills (when closed) on a dark car.

But this is the first time I've seen them front on and they just look awful!
