Stage 2.5 on there website is plenty for a stock turbo car. Only 2 versions of that kit for our car. Both universal. Only difference is one has stainless steel lines and the other has nylon

I don’t have access to a good spot / bung on the charge pipe, so I’m looking for a good alternative location.
Anyone ?

My charge pipe has two bungs so going to be using one for meth and one for the boost tap for the gauge

So what happens when you run out of meth in the tank? Does it harm the car? Does the tune adjust accordingly? or do i have to keep it filled. Looking to go Meth very soon and just need simple questions hopefully answered! Thanks in advanced!

Right.
I only have one bung...looking for an alternative location...a small diameter vacuum / boost hose...maybe ?

I also purchased my charge pipe about a year ago with no meth bung. Would it be smarter to purchase a new pipe with bungs made or take mine off and get a bung cut and welded on my current charge pipe? decisions decisions...

The one bung I do have will be used for a single injector. What I need is an alternate tap to measure boost psi.

Had to remove the throttle body and tap a hole in the intake

Hey, guys, I'm bumping this as I'm going to pull the trigger in the AEM WMI kit for MAP 0-5V and have a couple of questions.

1. Which map sensor (intake or charge pipe) should I tap in to and which wire specifically?

2. What are you setting your start and stop dials to for injection? I've like to start injection at 7PSI and stop at 17PSI as the controller is progressive and I'm peaking around 16.5PSI on the bm3 OTS E30 map and I've seen boost spikes up to 17PSI right after letting off the throttle on a WOT run. The diverter valve does a really good job dumping boost quickly. I did some logging via bm3 and plotted a graph of MAP sensor voltage vs boost and found the voltage range to be quite short. For example, 2.5V=4.1PSI, 2.V- 4.8PSI, 2.8V=6.1PSI, 2.9V=7.6PSI and 3.1V=8.9PSI. I also plotted this in Excel and used a 4th order polynomial fit to get a bit more granular and found 2.85V=7PSI and 4.1V=17PSI. Based on the data I was thinking of setting the AEM controller start at 57% (2.85V/5V) and end at 82% (4.1V/5V). Just wondering if my thinking is correct here.

3. Where did you tap into 12V switched power? I've seen people tapping into the fuse box. How is this done? Do you just find the right fuse and stick the wire in the fuse slot then plug the fuse in? This doesn't seem to be a robust method. I was thinking about tapping into the cigarette lighter wires found under the panel in front of the cup holders.

Thanks!!

1) If you have a charge pipe that has two bungs, I would use them for you injection point and map. It makes it quick and clean.

2) Depending on how you drive and your tune you can adjust it accordingly. I have my AEM kit coming on at 5 psi and spraying 100% at 20 psi. I am running it on the safe side.

3) I tapped my 12 volt power switch as you indicated. To the cigarette lighter near the cup holders. The reason I did this is just in case I forget to turn the switch to off the car automatically cuts power to all power outlets/cigarette lights after around 5 to 10 minutes once the car is shut off. That way you do not put excess drain on your battery.

Hope this helps. I have been spraying for over 1 year with no issues and the car is still running strong.

The answer to your question depends on how you are tuned.

If you are tuned for meth and your tank goes empty you could have fuel and knock problems.

Hey man thanks for the response. I do have two bung on my FTP charge pipe, so I can run the vacuum (well in this case would it be a boost line...lol) line there. This sounds much easier.

What nozzle are you running?

I don't recall at the moment I think I am running the nozzle rated at 250 hp. I put that nozzle on first to be on the safe side and never bothered to change it out cause it worked just fine. You can feel the car pick up once you start spraying the methanol. That and the new BM3 transmission tune makes the car feel so much different. I have not put the car on a dyno yet but I know I am significantly faster cause I walked a few modified 370z off a roll and had some trouble before I was spraying.

I would just start off with the 250 hp nozzle and if your car likes it and you feel the need for more speed then jump up to the 500 hp nozzle. I do suggest though if you want to fully maximize your car at the 500 hp nozzle you would need to get a custom tune for it.

Hope that helps.
