It's not available on PTF's site yet and yes Mike is offering incentives.
Why would someone else have it before PTF releases it for sale on their own website?

I wonder how the logs look in comparison to jb4?
I wonder how many throttle closures he's had compared to JB4?
I wonder how consistent the power delivery is compared to JB4?
I wonder what AFRs looked like compared to the the JB4 glory run you keep mentioning?

I mean c'mon man. A single data point power figure can't really have you this hung up and missing the bigger picture.
I can attest that MP smashes the JB4 in your checklist. It's WAY better.

It's just a preorder man. So I'll get a license as soon as it's available. And another sticker to decorate my toolbox or something with since I don't put stickers on my car

I saw their dyno sheets on the site. With 428 WHP & 509 WTQ, there has to be some torque intervention unless they have some secret sauce. MP reduces it with their TCU tune.

Hmmm it says they "recommend" highflow downpipes for stage 2. Wonder if running it with a stock pipe would be a bad thing.

I haven't gotten mine yet. Mike's on the west coast so he might have to manually push them this morning? We'll see.

Btw, I already ordered it from EPH.
That's really my question - I also came from VAG world, and miss the combination of the APR name and my local tuner, who was very knowledgeable and has a good relationship with APR. The downside to APR is that it isn't a tuning platform like BM3, it's purely OTS maps with no customization or self-flash capability. (unless they finally changed that recently?)

Even with APR, they updated their tune at one point, and had a glitch with my engine+transmission combo that caused really rough shifts. Sure, if I can flash to stock myself, I can 'fix' it myself, but my local tuner took datalogs and reported them to APR for me, and handled the communication back and forth to diagnose and get a proper fix for the issue into the next revision.

I think what we may have here with BM3 is the same level of customer service as APR but with the ability to flash at home... I would put them more akin to COBB than APR, but at that same token, if you live near a BM3 Dealer, you should be able to get the same amount of attention that you and I had with local APR dealers. I've also come from the VAG world in the last two months and it's been a very weird adjustment. Frankly, it's been a breath of fresh air with the amount of mod/customization support for the F30/B58 platform already.

Dinan is the APR of the BMW world. Overly expensive and no adjustability by the end user, but a big network of authorized dealers and a lot of trust from the community.

Bootmod3 is more like Eurodyne.

It's funny how many of us came from VAG lol. I still have my mk5 but spent a lot of time on golfmk6 forums since mine was a late model with the Gen1 TSI engine.

For a person like me who only knows how to change oil and wouldn't mess with tuning APR was perfect. I drove a manual so I didn't face any transmission issues. Going back to BM3, I will be more than happy with an OTS tune that's smooth and reliable! I want to flash it once and forget about it.
