BMW F30 330D launch control

I have a BMW 330d M sport 2012 model. I tried to use the launch control but it doesnt seem to work. I put the car into sport plus mode and he gearbox into sport. Then press break pedal with left foot and press right foot on accelerator fully down for a second and nothing comes up saying launch control. As im aware all F30 330d m sports came with this feature. Am i missing something hence why it isnt working

Without looking for dates, you'll find LC came part way through production, may even have been as late as LCI changes.

Do you have the sports tranny? You need that in order to have launch control I believe. Not 100% sure on that though.

Damn, that's neat. All BMWs should have come with SAT to be honest. Lol

Is your engine heated? I've read somwhere that you have to do at least 10 kilometers without turning off engine (even auto start-stop counts) before you can apply lauch control.
1) start the engine
2) turn off auto start-stop
3) drive with engine continuously started at least 10 km / 6,2 miles
4) switch to Sport+ mode
5) put drive selector to the left (DS)
6) hold the brake all the way down
7) put the accelerator pedal all the way down through kick down
8) flag appears on instrument cluster
9) release brake pedal in 3 secs from activating launch control
If this does not work, you can still code in via Esys

Which transmission do you have? 6MT, 8AT or 8AT Sport?

It is the 8AT sport (SAT) in the UK 330d. OPs model predates the addition of launch control. LC added from summer 2013 builds.

Drive at lease 10 km before doing that or launch control will not show up, and make sure to press the brake HARD.

I know this thread is old but if you don’t have LC already there is an option in BimmerCode transmission settings to code it. I did it this evening after thinking mine didn’t have it.
