M sport shocks replacement

The ride is a gt (mon x drive) with passive m sport suspension with close to 60k miles. The ride is getting bumpier and I think it’s time for replacement. I see most f30 replacing with B8 blisteins. Anyone to share their experience?

I am thinking of pairing b8 with the existing m sport springs, but not sure what else do I need to get or what is usually change together.

Thank you!

if yours is xdrive your springs are base and not msport.
I have acs springs on mine. My dampers also are due a refresh and im facing the same question.
go b8
go b6
or go with oem but b4
i don't think anyone has the answers and we have to find out ourselves.
Im too squeamish about b8 as acs springs only lower by 25mm and b8 are for cars lowered by <40mm AFAIK so b6 or b4 is my plan.
Or go with ACS dampers but at 1300 a set its a big outlay.

I just reached out to Air Lift Performance. Hopefully they got a setup compatible with the f34

Yes Koni does support Xdrive. I put a set of Koni Special active with Eibach springs on my F25 Xdrive. Most of the guys in the 2 links were putting them on F31s.

Check tirerack.com .

I have the m sport springs because it is non x drive. Question is whether b6 or b8 matches the springs better?

Hi
I spoke to bilstein today
They were quite clear in their advice

if you are msport and have oem springs you should ask for a b4 sports damper if youv wish a ride as close to oem as possible.

if you want a firmer (25%) sportier ride or if you have lowering springs b8 is for you

msport springs lower the car minimally (?10mm) so technically it is b8 for you but probably b6 should be equally fine.

Have you considered lowering springs (200-300 odd extra) and pair them up with b8 and rest assured yoy have the sportiest ride possible. No extra labour since you are installing shocks anyway.

Iam getting the above setup and will report back in a week with the result in another new thread.

The current m sport springs appears to be pretty low. I have around 1 finger gap at the back and 2 finger gap at the front. Will keep a look out for b8 (which seems compatiable across f30s as well)
