F34 Mppsk exhaust
Hi all, new here and have just picked up a 340iGT 2017. Love the car just slightly disappointed with the exhaust note.
Here’s the dilemma, my local BMW dealer is offering the MPPSK Kit for £1200 With the chrome tips For the f30 plus fitting, but want they £2750 just for the exhaust For an F34. I’ve had a quick search of the forums and can’t see anything definitive as to wether the f30 exhaust just needs the tips extending. Has anyone done this and have any pictures available? I’m thinking I could have the f30 exhaust delivered and fitted/butchered by a local exhaust shop and then taken to BMW for the tune Cheers |

Welcome to the forums! I think you may have it a little mixed up. For the F3x based on B58 engine (340i/440i), MPPSK (M performance Power and Sound Kit) is a combination of BMW upgraded flash tune AND an unique valved catback exhaust system that work seamlessly together. This kit is about $3k in the US and you cannot buy that exhaust from the dealer separate from the tune.
The lesser option is the M Performance Exhaust or MPE, which is around that $1200 mark. This is strictly an axleback unit (no midpipe) and will increase the exhaust note mildly under throttle. I believe this one can be 'hacked' to fit the F34 without much issue. I've done something similar to my pre-LCi F34 335i (Here) If I were you, I would save up to get the full MPPSK kit as the reviews on that have been nothing short of exciting! Here's one that I remember: |

Hey torquey, thanks for the reply. The part number the dealer is supplying is BMW 340i & 440i CHROME M Performance Power and Sound Kit F3x MODELS 11122444531
There description is it must be fitted by a dealership and there is coding to be completed this price is plus fitting but they will sell the kit and ship it to you for fitting at any dealer. The part number for the f34 is 11122447241 I believe I’m just not quite sure what is different between the 2 exhaust systemS as the diagram for both look identical but the dealer says the Former will not fit the vin number I supplied |
