Driver Assitance Plus Coding

Hoping one of you coding Gurus can help me on this one...

From what I can tell, my car is fully optioned with the exception of 5AG -active blind spot detection, 5AS active driving assistant and 8TH speed limit info, these are all found in the ZDB option group called "Driver Assistance Plus". Strangely, the car does have 5DL Side and Top view camera (I think called "surround view") as shown in the option list (shown below) that I pulled from the VIN finder website.

My question is: Do I need any other hardware to enable the options listed above or is it something that can be accomplished with coding only?

Any help would be appreciated.

You need Kafas 2 Camera, which you likely do not have without factory LDW or SLI. On top of the Kafas 2 Hardware, you would also need FSC Enabling Codes from BMW AG.

I don't mean to revive such an old post but this question is very close to mine.

I recently got an F30 335d with the following options:

S710A M Sports Steering Wheel Multifunction
S609A Navigation System Professional
S610A Headup Display
S6AKA CONNECTED DRIVE SERVICES
S6APA REMOTE SERVICES
S6CPA APPLE CARPLAY PREPERATION
S6FVA ONLINE ENTERTAINMENT
S6NWA Enhanced bluetooth with wireless charging
S6WAA Instrument cluster Full black panel display
S6WDA WLAN HOTSPOT
S544A Dynamic Cruise Control
S5ACA High beam assistant
S5ASA DRIVING ASSISTANT
S2NHA M SPORT BRAKES
S2TBA SPORT AUTO GEARBOX
S8THA SPEED LIMIT INFO

So seeing as I do have the KAFAS2 camera and the driver assistance package (lane departure warning, but no lane guidance etc) my questions are:

- How does S544A Dynamic Cruise Control differ from the normal cruise control with brake function?

- If I wanted to retrofit/code active cruise control with stop and go, would I need extra hardware (I assume the steering wheel controls) or is it only coding at this point?

Active cruise control requires the radar pod in the front bumper, which I've heard is a huge pain to retrofit. You also need a different ABS pump I believe.

Oh right, I thought I saw some cars with active cruise that didn't have the radar in the bumper. I assumed newer systems used the camera

I think newer cars they've hidden the radar pods much better. Many are hidden in the emblems now (VW/Nissan off the top of my head).

The cameras' main function is the front collision warning/avoidance system.

S544A IS cruise control with brake function. Retrofitting ACC requires at a minimum:

* DSC pump
* ICM
* Radar
* Steering wheel switches

The DSC pump and ICM must be from a car that had this option, coding is not enough. You'll also need the bumper mounting hardware for the radar, wiring harness, and wheel speed sensors for the front and rear (I've read anecdotally that these may not be required).

I'm in the process of retrofitting this right now, cost of parts all together has been around $1800. Finding a DSC pump from a car with ACC was the hardest part, once I found that I purchased the rest.

You can use this site to determine what parts are required for a given option: http://bmwfans.info/parts-catalog/F3...search?s=S5DFA
