Looks good. I wish they went with a different shifter. It's so old looking now, and it's been used for quite some time.

Nice! Smooth lines, clean design, and not too flashy - just what a BMW should be.
I'll have mine in white, with X-drive, and a six-speed box, please

Hit or miss for me. like the rear end, like the interior styling but bored that there is not enough change between the E92/E90 and these. And lets put it out there that there a bunch of cars in this price segment now that are really good. The new Z28 camaro will be a great contender for the M4 at the price of a 335i (not the active hyrbid even)

Also, here is a comparo that I spoke of regarding F30 vs F32. I think the F30 M-Sport bumper looks more aggressive?

The front end of the top picture looks like a "M Coupe" (Z4) with a back-end M-5 glass and roof, and an 6'er door.

A true "hybrid" if there ever was one.

Add two extra doors and stretch the wheelbase and roofline.

Ah, that is true. I almost forgot about that.

Still, I think it's missing something. I just don't know. Not overly suprised by the car... It literally looks like the F30, but with 2 doors ripped out. And especially from the back, it just looks like a cheaper, smaller 6 series.

I will withhold all judgements until I see and drive the car in person I guess. Who knows, I could change my mind.
With the is you still have additional overboost tq. I doubt the f30/32 platform will match the is. It's designed to offer better sporting characteristics than the E90/92 and by extension the F30/32

Not reasonably priced

Man, that's like 15% increase for base model. Unbelievable.... I do not think I want to spend that much on 3 series renamed 4 series... I can only imagine when the tag for the car moderately optioned for performance....

Right, but as I was saying before the e9x performed similarly to the e46 M3 and blew away it's base line competitors. I just kinda thought that the F3x should outperform the e9x and be at least closer in performance to the e9x M3 (at least at is standards) considering how easy it should be for BMW to give the car that extra little performance boost.

It seems like there is very little difference between the e9x and the f3x, except that the f3x is more tailored to be like a mini 5/6 series... But in no way is it making the older model obsolete like the e9x did to the e46 (minus the M3, which will always be a special car).

Again, just my opinion...

Well it looks like you won't get the cheap part.

A mid-pack 435i will be $50k, nicely optioned probably over $60k. That's a real sticker shock to me...

Question Price comparison to F30

So base F32 to base F30 would seem to show a $3,300 or so increase. Do we have any reliable data on what else is standard with the F32 but not on the F30 to make a more accurate comparison?

Not saying that the difference is shocking and is to be dismissed out of hand but I like to go in with my eyes wide open. Thanks.

depends, 335i difference is more like $2500-$2800, not sure if standard features are different too.

Very nice with M package!
I already see it in real life but in sport line (at a belgian dealer convention one month ago). In real the front face is really nice, agressive but also very class!
Sorry for my bad english

all series taillights now look the same.

i remember when e92 was revelaed it was an instant love. this is the opposite.

oversized boat. n54 from 2007 makes the same power if not more. CAR THAT IS 7 YEARS OLDER.

Agreed however the 330i did nothing to the E46 m3. The n54 did. The engine in the m3 is really tough to beat the the F3x price point. I think the m3 was pushed beyond the reach of the lesser 3 series siblings. You sir are going to need the F80 the 335is is too much car for the f30s

guess you just started following BMWs in 2008. Using the M badge on non M cars has been going on for years. but you probably dont remember when the 540i M Sport came out in 1998

I actually really like it!
Its obviously not as stunning as the concept but we all knew that.
Plus there's room for improvement for the LCI which I think will have the concept's headlight and taillights.
Look at the X6 concept! It had the LCI's taillights. And for those who say the e92 looks better I completely disagree. The pre-LCI e92 is less aggressive than this. I guarantee you'll change your mind once spot one of these on the road. BMW's always look better in person.
Either way, i have great expectations for my M4
