No, they don't. They never do. You might think the changes are too subtle, or not enough, or are upset that you don't have them, or hate BMW's strategy of purposely hobbling the design of the pre-LCI cars just so they can make a point of how progressive the LCI debut is, or whatever. But the changes always make the car look better and instantly make the pre-LCI components look dated.
Performance wise, technologically wise, yes. LCI cars usually are always better. But to say that they LOOK better always is stupid because everyone has different tastes in cars. For example, I thought the LCI E92 335xi looked shitty as hell while others loved the new plastic pieces they threw on it. So you're partially right, not completely.

I hate fog lights as well.. Does anyone ever use these things for the purpose intended and do they even help? In my e92 they certainly didn't do anything, but look stupid.

M-sport comes w/ fogs. Just had a friend pick up a '15 335xi M-Sport w/ fogs. I think M-sport brakes and staggered summer tires is what deletes the fogs now.
Something about those little round fog lights that I don't like on the M-Sport. Much prefer the non-fog light model. Much cleaner.

Interested in seeing how the performance tweaks (suspension, engine) add up in the real world.

The exterior seems very minor, although I do like the LCI tails.

Don't fight it. We all know BMW has lost their way and all they care about is getting as much money as they can. Back in the old days of the E30 and E36 and E46 they didn't care if they made money.

You sir, are wrong.
You can amuse yourself as much as you want because taste is a very personal thing.
And yes, some will always look better than the LCI or even newer models. Your mind is probably bored and used with the current style, and you are embracing the new style mentally, that's it. If I will show you two cars that you never seen, pre LCI and LCI and ask you which is which based on the exterior you will most likely be wrong.

New one is not always better. Technically, Maybe. Design wise, not really.
Have a look at the E39 M5. A Timeless machine.

In the end, be open to other opinions as well. Not everybody needs to embrace a pair of sneakers and yellow sunglasses with a Caraceni suit just because is new, LCI or "fashionable".

Wow. I too had problems noticing the differences and actually like the look of pre-lci better in most cases. Good to see I won't be wanting to upgrade and can wait to see what the next model brings.

Don't forget e9xs too.. In today's news, BMW finally broke even with the F3x.

E39 pre LCI looks like garbage compared to the LCI (amber tails and halogen headlights). Bad example. I would say MOST LCI changes DO look significantly better (e90 anyone?) but I would have to say the pre LCI e92 looked better than LCI minus the tail lights. In this case for the f30, pre LCI didn't look too bad to begin with but LCI does look more futuristic. I bet F80 M3 owners are relieved that LCI isn't too different and seems relatively easy to retrofit unlike the e90 M3 owners that bought the first year.

I agree with everybody else on the interior comments. The F30 interior quality is so far behind Merc, Audi and others. BMW just never listens to its customers in this regard and it's really disappointing. It looks like I'll be skipping the F generation all together.

I will admit, though, that BMW still makes the best engines, and the Idrive system is the best in the business. If they've managed to improve the steering on the LCI, that would be a huge step back in the right direction.

Have a 2013 xi M Sport with Sport Tires and it was not available with Fog Lights regardless of the setup. And we made BMW NA aware we were not happy with them being MIA on the U.S. models.

And for the guys that don't like the look of the fog lights, fine then let BMW make it an option here in the U.S. I don't care if you guys don't like the so called "look", I want to see where the fuck I am going, and it helps to see the freaking huge pot holes here in the Metropolitan Area.

I live on the coast in New York and now in vineyard country, and am always rolling to the beach some where on the East Coast. And if Fog Lights on an M Sport and an M will help us to drive fast and safer at night, well that's what I want and need!

Seems like much ado about nothing to me. I had to reread the text and then go looking for what was different. I couldn't tell just by quickly scrolling through the pics.

All the best.

I'm with you a lot of the way... Only time I don't like the LCI as much as the original, is with the E92 headlights. The original was spot on, but the LCI looked "tired"...

But of course, rest of the car with LED tails etc. were miles better

It's not a big LCI guys, I started to believe that you don't see the differences here!

I like the new look, wish that Xenon lived as standard...Halogen kills the looks...!

I'm glad they didn't change much, as there really wasn't much to change. The headlights look mean. And the tailight are leds.. Thank god. The more features and colors available helps, and the more powerful updated i6 looks fast. I like the refresh.

I can't see much difference, and I'd have trouble spotting an LCI F30 from an pre-LCI on the road. Unless, it is in that super-meh shade of grey. That's the least classy colour yet. Bring back Space Grey or EBII.
