F32 changed to M4 seats

Wanted the M seats badly so got a pair off a fellow member here. Just got it installed today. Everything worked except for the button located at the back of the seat to move the seats forward and backward and the annoying air bag light. anyone have an idea if I could get some coding to bypass that and turn it off?

Where did you get the steering wheel done/or ordered from? Have been looking to enhance the interior with Alcántara Wheel. I have the M performance carbon fiber weave/Alcántara interior upgrade with eBrake boot too. Just need that steering wheel! Haha

Your car looks solid man!

Thanks man. The steering wheel I got it off another member locally. He ordered it from the dealer, or you could order it from:

Pretty good price if you are in the State.

What modifications did you have to make aside from coding? I have base power/heated seats and I want to get a set of sports seats but from what I've read even if you have the seat modules it still can't be done (i.e. All power/heat/airbags).

I didn't do any modification to it, not even coding. Tried removing the airbag light fault but wouldn't go away. Below are the malfunction items that you might encounter if you decide to change yours to the M seats:

- The button to access the rear seat do not work
- on the passenger side, to move the seat up and down the direction of the button was reversed
- airbag lights
- The M logo does not light up

Other than that, everything else worked including the heated seats.

There was a poster in France iirc that was able to successfully do a transplant, albeit on an F80. Not much detail on procedure though...

Here is a post from david51 that installed F80 seats in his F30...hopefully he can shed some light on what you need to do to get the seats working properly.

Hello

To avoid the problem of your airbag, it is enough to put back those of origin instead.

For illumination of the M3 logo
It is necessary to do as the following diagram.

So you have to reuse the original f30 seat module?

It is necessary to do as the following diagram.
So do you have to switch the pin to connect?

Not need it just need to check if your spindle already has wires.
If no threads should be added

Do you have a picture of your catch under the seat ?
