First of all, if you're using the current date and your token has not expired, you don't need my script.

My script enables you to start the Launcher while your system date is reverted to some time in the past. This way an expired token can effectively be reused indefinately. Normally, the Launcher would detect the date reversion and refuses to start.

Hi, It did as I could not launch as it just was in a generate token loop (as the free token master was set to expire). Once I ran your script (leaving the date it was) I then was able to launch it/ Lets see what happens later this week...

Thanks, Tony, for this. I just today received a Msport steering wheel w/paddles and planned to put it in today or tomorrow - then e-sys decided to expire. I also have being shipped to me right now an OEM reverse camera w/handle, the OEM module, and wiring. I was freaking out a little bit until I found this thread. Thanks again!

Added support for Launcher 2.8.2 which expired on 30 December 2018. No new functionality was added at this time.

I saw your new addition this morning, downloaded it and ran it because that was the version of launcher I had - somehow it was working with the next-to-the latest version. I dunno. But I can confirm the latest version works with 2.8.2 because I just installed my MSport steering wheel and it works! Thanks again Tony!

I have this exact same problem. Win10 x64. I have no antivirus at all and can see no reason why my windows folder is locked?!?! Can someone help? Please?

To clarify this for other users as well, every Launcher version has its own timeframe in which it will work. Basically, you can't set the date before the Launcher compilation date (the date Tokenmaster released the particular Launcher version) or after the token expiration date.

So as an example, for Launcher 2.8.2 the date has to be somewhere between 15-06-2018 and 31-12-2018.

As a service I mention these timeframes in the notes after you run my script

I'm curious, where did you install the script the first time (before you copied it to the desktop)? Didn't you get any errors when you ran it there?

I did see some problems when installed on a network share, but I always got errors that way.

I have two drives on my laptop as replaced the optical drive with a caddy thing. So I downloaded it to the D drive which is 500gb. Running the script from there have errors.

When I copied it to the desktop and ran from there it worked first time with no errors. I subsequently copied it to my tools folder, still the C drive and it still works without error.

I read through the thread and saw someone else had the same issue and copying to the desktop solved it.

I'm getting an error, "Connection to E-Sys Launcher failed. Restart Launcher and try again.".

I'm using e-sys 3.27.1, launcher 2.8.2, and psdzdata 4.15.12. All programs are from shawnsheridan.

I followed all the installation instructions from shawn and incorporated tony's e-sys rearm instructions.

What am I doing wrong? Am I suppose to have the obd wire connected to the laptop and car?

There's a compatibility issue between Windows 10 V1809 and Launcher 2.8.2 causing exactly this error. So far, I haven't seen a solution. Are you on V1809?

I was told that the Premium Launcher 2.7.1 has checks so that it won't run in a virtual machine unless you have an activationcode from Tokenmaster, which he no longer supplies. It will run when installed on a normal PC though.

Premium version 2.6.2 will run in a virtual machine, no problem. I tested this myself. Don't know about other versions.

My script deletes all Launcher config files and folders, as well as resets the dates of several important Windows system folders. The Launcher checks these dates to see what the 'current' date/time is. If the system clock predates this, you'll see the 'Date manipulation' error and the launcher won't start.

Why would you want to change the system clock? Because Tokenmaster cleverly build his tool to generate an .est token file which is only valid until 30/12/2017. Without a valid token, E-sys won't start.
That's why the system clock has to be reversed, so that the token will be valid and E-sys will startup happily. My script makes sure that the launcher will accept that reversal.

So to start E-sys with, say, Premium Launcher 2.7.1:
-Extract my package to your Desktop
-Set the system clock to, say, 01-04-2017 0:00
-Run my script
-Start the Launcher and enter your settings
-Enjoy coding

If, for example after a windows update, you get the 'Date manipulation' error again, or when the Launcher keeps asking for a pin suddenly, just adjust the system clock and run my script again.

It's also important to know that the system time can never predate the compilation time of a particular Launcher version. I also mention this in my script for version 2.6.2 and 2.7.1.

Now that Premium 2.8.2 is no longer valid I read your solution here on forum. I don't want to change date on my laptop so I created a Win7 VM. Can you send me the Premium 2.7.1 version please? If this version doesn't work on VM, can you send me the link for version 2.6.2(I guess this version works on MV)?

Yeah, the activation code is what you get when you install it inside a VM. As far as I know, there's no solution. Although someone here claimed he had done it a while ago. Perhaps you can search a few posts back and PM him.

I saw this post by Almaretto, stating that Coding-Verification only works on E-sys 3.28.1 and below. Maybe this is your problem.

Otherwise, this seems like there's something wrong with the .est token file the Launcher created. What Launcher version are you using? Did you run my script as Administrator, and did it run completely without any errors? Is your system date still reverted when you start Coding-Verification?
