2016 LCI Headlight Upgrade Options

Yes, another headlight thread. I’ve searched for options for LCI headlight upgrades but most threads are either for non-LCI upgrades or are a few months old with no new updates.

Anyways, I have a 2016 328i with Halogens and would like to upgrade to LEDs. What are my options in 2019? I heard DEPO is making LCI headlights but I can’t find them anywhere.

Appreciate any help or advice on where to look.

Hi Machtkampf,

Thanks for the info.
Is your car considered an LCI? I see Depo lights applicable thru the 2015 model year....

Saw these on eBay when they were $999, and now they jumped up in price after gaining a lot of traction/watchers.

Thanks for all the replies. I went ahead and settled with DEPOs for my car. Better than what I have right now that’s for sure.

I guess those are BMW LED take-offs, although no part #, or year, or much other info is given (& a big 90% pos. rating!).
If so, not plug-n-play (!) for an LCI halogen car.

Hey Littlebear,

Yes it also fits fine on my 2016. I heard from Kiesmotorsports its compatible just DEPO has not updated the description as when they first released they were up to 2015. I would say the fit is about 99% accurate for 2016.

I didn't get the Depos, but got LED bulbs, mainly going by this page:

https://bulbfacts.com/led-kits/chart/

I've only had them in for a couple of night runs, but what an improvement!

Did the DEPO's work for your car? I also have a 2016 F30 and wanted to check before I went ahead and purchased.

So I'm on the same boat as you except that my car is a 2017 LCI 320i. I have the halogens also. I contacted USR, and they said the current headlights they have for sale go up to the 2015 models and that they do not have them out for the LCI models. They said they are expected to be released in 2020.....

The current DEPO headlights also fit newer LCI cars. I have them installed on my 2016.

Were the headlights plug and play for your 2016 F30?

Sorry, not to thread-jack but considering Depos as well. How much did the install run you?

Thanks!

Hey guys! Check out USR's website! You'll see the brand new depo headlights for the LCI models. They look different than the pre-LCI depo lights

EU LED Lights

Those are the ones I ordered, and they are the real deal. Real BMW LED but - here is the thing they don't mention - RoW/EU versions. I have installed them, they fit like you'd expect OEM to fit, but I am sure I have not coded mine right. See also my thread above - if someone can chip in and send me their coding for a Euro non-adaptive LED - I will code them in and post the results here...

$350. Quite steep and I’ve seen other shops charge less but I trust this shop so I went with them. No issues so far.

Hi all , very new here like ten minutes new 🤣 I'm trying to find a headlight upgrade for my 2015 320d Ed+. I hit a pheasant few weeks back and cracked my headlight and now all fogged up and needs changing . So heres my dilemma, my car is 2015 but seams to carry some 2016 lci parts like the newer rear lights , however the headlights are none angel eye halogen with led drl . Now is their an upgrade option for these in the depo world ? Like projector with angel eye . Not bothered about being full led or anything as this is literally a weekend car . A new headlight for what I have is 300 quid new but yet I see brand new pairs with angel eye aftermarket for 400quid . I'm just unsure if they would work right . Pics included of what I have currently and any help would be great 👍😬
