Installing coilovers (ST XA coilovers)

Does anyone know if there is anything else I need before installing a set of coilovers? I just bought a set of ST XA coilovers for my bmw f32 RWD w/o EDC.

This is my first set of coilovers, so I am sort of new to this.

Is everything I need just included in the box and I should be able to give my local BMW shop the coilovers and they'll be able to install them for me?

Thank you for any help! 😭

Depends on the coilovers you bought. Look at their install instructions. Specifically note what they tell you to reuse, and add in what BMW says to replace when you are swapping out that coinciding part.

I would recommend getting new front strut bearing/mount, new bolts, new gaskets for the front and rear strut mount. New bolts aren't critical, but some of mine were rusted and its like $30 for all of them so I figured why not. Also Id highly recommend getting the front strut knuckle tool to make things easier. You can use a 3/8" to 1/4" adapter or a screwdriver but the tool is so much easier to use.

If a shop will install it you dont need the knuckle tool

What is the target suspension lowering target?

I suggest 4 wheel alignment after the installation.
