Yeah, that's why I asked for the drop from the bumper. If the drop is 1/2", it doesn't matter what suspension you have. It's still 1/2" drop from the bumper.

It is indeed 1/2" drop from the bumper in the center.

Thanks, that's what I thought. Doesn't sound like too big a deal. On stock M sport suspension, it shouldn't make that much difference and on a lowered suspension you have to be careful with or without the lip.

Ok, I definitely want it now.

Exactly.

For me, it's added protection.
I prefer to damage the lip on my soon to be lowered car, than to damage the lower part of my bumper.

+1...now if only I can find a front lip that costs less than the bumper itself!

Where did you buy the lip? Thanks

The bummer is that with so much publicity, Jason bumped the price to 180$ now.

i know.. sucks (i need to stock up). Therefore, I would like to encourage everyone to go OEM!!! Way better option, way better look, way better quality, way better overall decision. You can't go wrong with OEM. You get what you pay for. Don't be fooled by these replica parts and these shady companies that dole them out

AutoTecknic carbon fiber front lip. Several vendors are selling them, not sure who has the best price though. RW Carbon sell them discounted

Running f32 with that carbon fibre front lip and car is lowered as well. Just scrape here and there but no big deal. Welcome to the low life

And here I am already scraping multiple times on my stock M Sport suspension and without a lip. My stock "splitters" are scraped. I may try to cover it up with the lip!

Got mine from selma. I have no problems recommedning

No prob with fitment or finish (had it painted of course). Everything lined up perfectly. Straight as an arrow.

No complaints as I'm not sure how OEM quality would be much better.
.

ANd yes..i have scraped it 3 times already

How do you guys live with it? Is your BMW not your daily? I have it on my car and I find it really inconvenient. It has significantly reduced my clearance and although I'm getting better at not scratching it, it inevitably gets scrapes. Going extremely slow and angled and everything, it's just worrisome and inconvenient. Especially since I had a fiasco before where I had it fall off on me ON the freeway (yes it was bolted on, cause unknown), got it replaced with a new one yet I'm still worried over time it might fall off again if it takes too much damage/stress.

Don't get me wrong, I absolutely LOVE the look it adds to the car but I'm starting to stress over it too much.

And if I decide I don't want it, anyone want to buy F32 Autotecknic Front Lip? Price half off...
I had it on my red f31 - loved it. That and the black kidneys looked awesome.

BUT, it was a royal pain. And with my wife driving it sometimes, and just not being aware of the clearance issues, it was just not doable.

Long story short, I was smacked with a semi tire tread at highway speeds - obliterated my front cover and lip.

I had the repair shop put it in the back rather than put it on and I haven't regretted it since!

This is a perfect example. Not too practical on dirt roads, camping.

Haven't dug up the pavement yet with my splitter but my son wants me to mount a GoPro in the car to record my first pothole and splitter scrape with the new car.

Is the splitter easy to remove without any damage if I was to install it on a lease car?
