Do you have rear fogs, or do the inner lights turn on with the brake lights?

I dont have rear fogs, the inner lights turn on when I turn on my lights on and they work as brake lights.

What Mid-LED's are you talking about? If its the white LED, its my license plate light. Thanks! That exhaust sounds even better during cold starts.

I did not have to code anything, it worked right out of the box.

Hi there.

I live in the Bay Area as well. Just curious where did you buy your lights? We thought we came from Eagle Eyes but those folks in Taiwan has no idea what i am talking about. Did you get it from bimmerman?

Thank you for the response... how hard is the installation? It sounded like no coding is needed as there are no error codes to code out.

MacrossVFX222,

While if it came from Bimminan, chances are very strong that the lights are error-free,BUT they are still LEDs, which means that for each light (brake, turn reverse, etc) (left & right), there are three codings that must be done:
  • WARMUEBERWACHNUNG from aktiv to nicht_aktiv
  • KALTUEBERWACHNUNG from aktiv to nicht_aktiv
  • IS_LED from nicht_aktiv to aktiv
Each of these are preceded by three letter identifier that shows what light
  • Rear Turn Signal: FRA_H
  • Reverse: RFS
  • Outside Brake: BL
Then the three letter identifier is followed by _L (for Left) or _R (for Right)

This sounds complicated and difficult, but is actually very straight forward -- just remember that coding is still involved.

Hope that helps

MacrossVFX222,

Just to make it clear and as a good reference, attached is my bulb card. It not only has what modules for the various lights, but also the three letter designator and pretty extensive bulb descriptions.

Again, pretty straight forward

Again, hope this also helps!

To turn off the bulb checks. With normal bulbs, the current that the checks run aren't enough to turn on the bulb. Unless the LED bulb or assembly has a built in resistor, the checks the vehicle runs have enough current to light up the LEDs in which would cause the flickering that people report before turning off those checks.

Just to make this clear. The coding prevents the flickers that some people report? Thanks!

Yes coding will eliminate flickering, also you are letting the system know each bulb is now an LED so it can still look for bulb failures.
