19 inch rims - best tyre fitment?

guys, sorry I am new to BMW cars. I have a F30 318d 2013 (not a xdrive) MSport. I want to upgrade to 19 inch rims.

I found some which are 19 inch:

Front: 8.5j et35
Rear: 9.5j et38

What tyres would you recommend I buy with these for best fitment? This is my first BMW so not fully sure. I don't want runflats.
Appreciate any advice.

I believe the best bet would be 225/40 fronts and 255/35 rears as these are the oem 19inch specs.

As you are not on a xdrive, you have wide variety of combinations to choose from. I think the most popular for your rim width are 235/40/19+265/35/19. You can see many different fitments in this section (in threads like this: https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1166496 ). Considering your engine, I would suggest avoiding wider tires than needed.

Would these fit on the specs of the Rims I gave above?

Thank you. What would you recommend to fit the rim size above? Just as the all round best option. Would 235/40/19 and 265/35/19 be the best all rounder (looks, ride comfort etc) considered?

Yes of course. The 235/40 and 265/35 will also fit.

The dude selling to me has 225/35/19 front and 255/35/19. I have never seen this fitment as the front normally are 225/40/19

Would this make a difference?

OEM front tire is 225/40/19, 26.1" diameter, 3.5" sidewall. 225/35/19 is 25.2" diameter, 3.1" sidewall. 225/35/19 will increase front wheel gap 0.4" more than a 225/40/19 and lower the front height of the car by the same.

performance wise, same front grip but sharper turn in with a shorter sidewall.

nothing wrong with OEM staggered sizes of 225/40/19 & 255/35/19, however 245/35/18 & 255/35/18 would give you the best handling and is what i would use for your setup. use 235/40/19 & 265/35/19 for ride comfort and fenderwell gap fill if you are not lowered.
