I've brought it to the dealer once about this. They claimed they were going to fix it. But then returned the car saying they tested on other vehicles and found it to be normal behavior...

Normal or not, I still would like it fixed. It sounds awful. They keep saying they can't do anything about it because it's the design of the vehicle.

If you get it fixed, definitely let us know what the dealer had done. I would love to show my dealer what other dealers performed in order to resolve the issue.

Put some padding in behind the pieces that are rattling. That's what I did for my previous cars.

I have a 428 with the base system and I hear the rattling outside as well I think near the door handle area. I didn't know this issue existed until I seen this thread. I'll mess with bass settings and see if that helps any.

Bad news , nothing can be done about this. They spent some time looking into it so we are on our own boys and girls.

@dominic, even the m3/4 I checked out at the New York auto show had this issue

Those with the mperformance rocker panels, the black ones, do you have this issue?

Ok. So I have taken a roll of this tape, not sure what it's called, but generally it's used to insulate windows and doors. I cut a small piece and pressed it as flat as I could, it tends to return to its original shape and size.

After pressing it flat, I pushed the side skirt down from the top with my thumb, and pushed the flattened foam in there. That's it. Never rattled since!

It used to iritate me very much especially while washing the car, as this would the only time I will listen to music from the outside.

hmm, my issue is completely opposite of yours. I have rattles in the rear passenger side when music is off.

Car's at the dealer hopefully they could find something.
