340i xdrive H&R sport springs
Hey guys, I hve a 2016 340i xdrive mapper with 19" 403m wheels and I love the car but the wheel gap is driving me a bit nuts on my stock setup. I've seen some people swap out the stock springs for H&R sport springs setup, has anyone done this and if so how do you like the ride and do you scrape easily ? I am intrigued by the less body roll and such of the sport springs but I don't want to go to a terrible ride quality and most importantly I do not want to have to worry about scraping everywhere (I know I would on really steep turn ins but more focused on daily driving usability. Thanks guys as always appreciate it in advanced

How's the difference in body roll for you? And do you ever scrape the front bumper since you went on the springs? Also love your spec I have the 403m wheels in black as well love the look

I feel less body roll and better handling with the springs and spacers.
Only negatives, I feel the pot holes a lot more on bad roads and there is a creaking sound coming from the suspension when driving at low speeds like in a parking lot. I experienced the same thing with my m235i with the same setup but it doesn't bother me. |

If you are worried about ride quality you might want to consider the Dinan springs. I installed them on my 2017 340 xdrive and the ride quality is great. I wanted a reasonable drop, handling and ride quality and that's exactly what they provided. They feel like the car should have come with these springs. Crappy cellphone picture but it will give you an idea of what it looks like

Love how it looks! Yea my main concern is the harshness In ride quality getting worse but I think coupled with removing my Runflats that it should equal out fairly well from what I'm hearing. Do either of you notice scraping the front end a lot more now ?

That's awesome to hear, mainly was worried about scraping and strut issues And yea same here I don't want super low because I drive on some not perfect roads in New England but the stock wheel gap hurts me to look at

That's the same thing I faced. Missouri roads arent great and the xdrive wheel gap was too much to take. Now it looks and drives like a BMW should IMO

Thanks for the info in this thread. After doing my research, your setup and review in this thread convinced me to go with the Dinan springs and ride quality/handling kit on stock adaptive M suspension.
