What is this on the roof line?

I came out to my car this morning and the driver side of these long thin doors was open. I see them near each door. What is it and why would it be open?

RTFM? Those are attachment points for a roof rack. The covers are spring loaded, so it shouldn't be open. Have your dealer check it out.

Roof Rack, why didn't I think of that. I couldn't imagine what they were for!

I park in a solo garage so maybe the lizards were looking for a new home.
