After owning several bmws I left the brand, except for the X5 and not going back unless they do something about the boring interiors. You guys should look at other brands and see the diff in the interior design and quality.

On the topic of interior design, I really don't like how everyone across all brands are starting to go with the infotainment display as a standalone part of the dash rather than integrated into the lines of the dash. It looks like someone slapped a tablet there as an afterthought rather than building the dash around it. Mercedes is especially bad with it imo but Mazda, BMW, etc do it on several of their models. I like the way it's integrated into the dash on the 5 series, don't like the way it sticks up on the 4. Etc.

Currently 2 BMWs...4GC and wife's X3. Also have a '96 Impala SS thats bigger than almost everything and just removed a '96 Land Cruiser from my list (daughter totalled it). I won't even bring up my 4x4 Suburban I drove for years lol...

I like both BMWs. The 4 rides much harsher than the X3 due to 18" run flats and 704 suspension but the handling outweighs the jarring on occasionally really bad stretches. While the 428/430 have sufficient power, opt for the 435/440/bigger engine. MPG is about the same as you'll love the sound of the 6 over the sewing machine sounding 4.....

I agree completely. The tablet on top is an eye sore and on top of that all the same vents and a/c bottons the same almost in every model. Merc is the worst in this department. I really like what Lexus does to the interior and don't mind Audi tablet going down after you shut the car off
