F2x and F3x share the same ECU Architecture, so yes, although not every code that works in one will work in the other.

Shawn,
After deleting and re-coding VO's, I still was not able to get anything to show up for HKFM_LS. What I wound up doing was to read my I-Step and then try to detect the CAF for SWE. This is where I think the issue is. My I-Step shipped and I-Step last were the same. The I-Step current was different and also was not in the detected list, so I just used the one detected that matched my shipped and last value. It seemed to work with no errors, but after waiting a couple of hours, when I go back in and read SVT, HKFM_LS is hosed again, and of course my truck doesn't work. I wonder if the dealer installed some custom patch for the trunk opening or something. Searching the forum, it seems everyone is having the issue with the trunk. Is anyone having success that is not using the Pro version of E-sys? Just for giggles I went ahead and repeated the process above. I'm betting in a couple of hours HKFM_LS will crap out again. Edit: I was just about to VO out Automatic Tailgate and VO it back in but I checked the trunk button as soon as I got in the car and it works!! Keyfob works also, so it's all good! Shawn, one question that will save me from the opportunity of screwing up anything else, but do you know what the default setting are for the following?: **************************************** AUTOMATIC HEADLIGHTS **************************************** FRM / 3050 / FLA_AUTO_AKTIV -> automatisch/ Werte=01 FRM / 3050 / FLA_VERBAUT -> aktiv HU_NBT / 3000 / HIGH_BEAM_ASSISTANT -> aktiv When I set mine per above, I got a service warning for malfunction. I put the top one back to manual (it's original) value and I set the remaining two to inactive, but I am almost certain one of the two was originally active. No more error, but I'm betting it's not the way it's supposed to be. Thanks so much for all the help you provide here because I feel almost dangerous coding now :-) Last edited by S1ammin; 07-05-2016 at 03:04 AM.. |

Hi Shawn,
I have done the following coding twice for my 528i but this doesn't seems to work. Am I doing it right? 1. Daytime running light (can be switched ON/OFF in the iDrive settings); FRM MODULE 3050 > DRL_MODUS set to: drl_s 2. Side mirror auto fold when locking; FRM MODULE 3020 > ASP_BEIKLAPPEN_BEI_KOMFORTSCHLIESSEN set to aktiv and this CAS MODULE 3003 > KOMFORTSCHLIESSUNG_FB set to aktiv – werte=00 3003 > KOMFORTSCHLIESSUNG_PA set to aktiv – werte=00 |

Looks like you did it correctly. Or maybe it has to be Werte=01? |

DAYDRIVING_LIGHT adds "Daytime running lamps" to the iDrive Settings=> Lighting screen. 2) Unless you also coded KMFRT_SCHLIESSEN = Werte 00, you have to press and hold the Fob lock button for about 20 seconds for the mirrors to fold.

Latest software
Hi all,
Ive just discovered coding and wasted no time getting into it, but there was a property I couldnt find for increasing the number of one touch indicator blinks which I had as: FEM_BODY 3060 - BLINKZYKLEN_ANZAHL_TIPP But it doesnt seem to be there? Could I have out of date software of data files? It worked well for a few other changes Cheers |

Did you restrict your search to Section 3060 or did you search all of FEM?

Ready to code
My first post after lurking for a while, but I finally have my wire! I have a mac so I am running through VM and I noticed some of the files to install correctly were missing. Anyone have a set of the data files? Right now I have Esys 3.27.1, EsysLauncher 2.4.3, and psdz lite 58.3.

I tried to follow this and it didn't work for me either. I kept getting the two stage brake light malfunction on the left and right side. Added HELC and K5A1 to my H-Wort and VO coded FEM_BODY and REM. It made no difference even after restarting the car. Can anyone help please? Maybe I have old programming files? |

Also check your rear fog light bulb and third stop lamp up high. That could be an issue as well. |
