Tommy,

Once again your OCD has saved my sanity. Today I fixed my rattling door lock pins using your felt method. At last ?.
THANK YOU ?

What's up! I haven't been on the forum for a long time. The car is coming along sweet.

I was wondering what size spacers you finally decided on. What is in this picture front rear? Is this the factory tire?

I have 15/20mm spacers front/rear.

The tires are not factory but rather Hankook Ventus V12. I like them a lot for a daily driver and the sidewalls are more square so they look more flush.

Thanks man! I really appreciate it. I only stopped modding while I figure out if I am going to keep this car long term. I really like it a lot in terms of looks and practicality with the hatch back. I am going to see what my options are at the end of the year. If I decide to keep it I will be back to modding!

I absolutely would if the model differences are worth the upgrade. The hatchback for me is ideal and fulfills 98% of my needs. Plus it helps that I still think the GC is the best looking car in the BMW lineup, esp when its been lowered a bit, but of course I am partial.

My lease ends in a few months and the GC for me works out just perfect so I'll be getting an LCI MODEL.

Ok wow that's perfect. I'm trying to decide what wheels specs I should order.

The V12 tire is very square and I love that about it. What factory tires did you have? I had the Bridgestone S1001 run flats. I will be ordering the Michelin PS4S in 265/35/19 but the tapered sidewalk sucks!

I need to check out the LCI to see if it has enough changes/improvements to warrant an upgrade. I am still hoping for a M4 Gran Coupe!

The factory tires were the runflats as well. Probably the best upgrade I did getting rid of those. The ride is so much better, even after I lowered my car.

That looks ok. I think the GC still looks way better.

There are many A5 reviews out there - not a single one praised the driving experience. Quite the opposite, everyone was disappointing stating the steering is numb and suspension lifeless. A lot of reviewers even say that if you care about driving pleasure - look for 3/4 series I would assume that most of us on this forum share this request.

It is a good looking car thought haha

This is my second set of replica M Sport pedals I purchased from Ebay. The first set was a total disaster. The screws on the brake pedal were in different places than the OEM pedal but far worse was that the finish did match at all. The OEM dead pedal has a fairly obvious grain structure and has a satin like finish to it. This set is much closer to the OEM finish. The finish is bit shinier and the grain structure is not as obvious but overall I am happy, especially considering I spent 1/3 the price. From pics I have seen of the OEM pedals they too are a bit shinier than the dead pedal as well. I am sure one of these days my OCD will get the better of me and I will end up getting the OEM pedals but for now these will do.

Install was easy, taking about 2 mins. The gas pedal included some double sided 3M tape while the brake pedal is held in place securely by the form fitting rubber lip.

The parts came packaged nicely:

Instead of a flat piece of metal on top of rubber like the first set I purchased these have rounded edges:

And the install:

Any way you still have the link to the ebay buyer for the pedals?

I believe that is the Stinger... Former BMW Motorsports head, now with KIA Motors had a hand in that project.. 300+HP RWD, with an option for AWD.. Very nice!

I havent done any mods to my car in a while though I am now seriously considering the BBK upgrade since I am in need of new pads and rotors. Anyway, yesterday I got a nice, unexpected upgrade from some inconsiderate driver...my first door ding. The ding is on the driver front quarter panel right above the where its starts to slope inward towards the hood. Given the location the car that caused it must have been some sort of truck or other higher vehicle. Considering I've had my car for over 3 years and this is my first ding I feel lucky (???). That being said, I really do hate people sometimes. Its not difficult to be considerate and mindful of other people's car when opening the door. Oh well. Its time for a new car upgrade anyway!

Car looks great! I have 2015 435i GC with 18 inch staggered fitment. Spacers are going to be the next mod for me. Do you ever have any problems with the tires hitting the top of fenders when you hit bumps or dips in the road? Any other issues to report? I love the wider meaner look and want 10/15 or 12/15 for myself.

Install was easy and the lights worked as expected. I did the usual coding to get rid of the cold/warm bulb check and to enable LED. One thing I noticed is how immediate the LEDs turn on and off. With the bulbs by comparison you see how it gradually gets to its brightest level as well as how its brightness gradually fades. Though I knew this is how LEDs and bulbs work, it was cool to see the difference.

I got the 50W rear turn signals so I worried that it would be too bright but it turned out to be just as bright as the stock bulbs. The outer brake light is just a little bit less bright than stock. I think this is because of how the LED bulb is constructed with the projector lens. The stock bulbs sends light in all directions making it seem brighter but the LED projector focuses more light directly backwards. Below are some before and after videos at night. You cant really tell much difference. I will make another video in daytime today.

Before LEDs

After LEDs
can you link where you got the LED bulbs from, thanks
