Diy sport electric seats retrofit guide

I actually wrote this tutorial/schematic for myself to gain insight into how everything should be connected. I just made a DIY out of it to help others. I have to do this myself tomorrow, if my theory is correct it should be like this to come out.
If there are any errors, please let me know and I will correct them in the schematic

Very nice writeup. Remember the coding.
Add 459 to VO for the electric adjustment with memory and 494 for seat heating driver/passenger if it is not already in the car. If no seat heating you will have to change the climate switch unit to one that have the two buttons.

Plugged everything in, everything works right away. Only haven't been able to check the heated seats yet because I don't have the module yet. 2 error codes for the airbags/belt of both seats. Have this reset at my garage and all errors are gone.

Strange that the error codes came, because I transferred the belt modules from my old seats. luckily everything was reset and everything works properly

Does lumbar need it’s own wire or just coding?

I haven't coded anything, everything works perfectly, also the memory! if you stick to my schedule everything will work right away. I would swap the old seatbelt modules from your old seats to the new ones. You may not get a malfunction afterwards, in my case I did get a malfunction of both seat modules and had it coded away at my garage

Yes lumbar needs it's own wire and no codind needed as the lumbar system has no ECU.

Can I tap from nearby wire or run to fuse box?

Do you know what they did to 'reset' it? The airbag restraint warning is the only thing thats really holding me up from venturing into upgrading my seats.

to avoid airbag errors install your original airbags on the new seats

I've heard of that, but seems super annoying to do. I've heard that the airbag restraint light can be caused by busted tensioners.

yes possible you have to put back the original ones.

it's not difficult to change the airbag
