Hi everyone, some time ago I've been involved in a crash in which I broke the AC radiator. The mechanic replaced it and filled AC gas but now the AC isn't working anymore. He told me that the AC compressor has activated a sort of protection and locked up, so he told me I need to go to a bmw dealer to unlock it. Is this possible? I tried to read error codes using Bimmerlink but I'm not getting anything. Given that I have the obd-ethernet cable, is there something I can do with e-sys or other bmw software to fix it on my own?

I just searched in ISTA/Rheingold for some hints for a compressor protection lock, but i found nothing.
You can try to read the error memory with ISTA/Rheingold and there should be some errors for the compressor and solution tips.

While waiting for the enet cable to arrive, I've tried to read error memory with Bimmerlink. I don't see anything related to it... what do you think? Which ecu should be responsible of this issue?

That's a lot of error messages.
But that's the only message related to your problem i think.

I tried to clear error memory this morning, then turned on engine and ac and... it didn't work. And not a single error came up. Is it possible that it's not signaling anything?

The compressor clearly isn't engaging, the rpm keeps stable when I press the AC button..

Hi I have 430i f36 after program modification, I've noticed that you have same 2 errors as me

I'm wondering if your car is also chip tuned?
