I've seen some discussion about regapping or use of cold plugs for a tune. Is this required with a Stage 1?

B58 cars are equipped with OPF (Otto Particulate filter) starting as far as I know in July 2018 onwards to meet Euro 6 vehicle emission standards mostly in European countries.

I am coming from a custom tuned MHD N55 and prior to that a custom tuned N54.

The installation was easy and took about 35 minutes in total.

I have a full tank of Petro Can 94 in the car.

Spent the past couple of hours on the highway. First 100kms was easy driving. Allowing for adaptation.

The last 100k was spirited but not crazy due to weather and still allowing for adaptation.

The car has a very clean, assertive power band. No more gaps or hesitations in power. It is smoother than my two previous cars. Able to pass with ease and authority.

The tune is exactly what I want from this car. I don't plan to go crazy with it. But it will put you in the back of your seat quickly!!!!!

Jarek, a fantastic job my friend!!!! Best value for hp! Look forward to seeing how things progress with the OTS Maps based on further refinements and feedback.

No regrets about not waiting for the other two big tuners in beta at the moment. Have experience with them both. MG Flasher is right on the money for me!
How much $ is the MG flash?

You advertise on your site like it is already there. When will you have it up on the App Store?

I have the Android with an older tablet and do not want to spend money and something newer.

There was a new MG Flasher release today with revised maps for st1 and st2, plus ethanol maps too.

I looked the other day, you can get an Android tablet for under $50 that will work. And you could spend even less if you are thrifty at finding an online deal or a good used one. You are missing out by waiting IMO. --MW

Good stuff! Thanks. I've been feeling left out of the little updates running the torque limited custom map. Having it as an option is a perfect solution. My tires are going to hate you.

So for those of us WITH the xHp trans tune and do NOT have DP, what stage and option do we choose with this new set up?
EDIT: Stage 1 with xHp marker option?
Also, what are the hp and tq numbers for stage 1 E30 tune?

How do I get the licence for the new Stage 1? I already have the Stage 2 licence but since you have changed the maps, do so have to pay more?

I'm confused as to why this was put in for Stage 1, but not stage 2. I was assuming this would torque limit so that the car would drive smoother under heavy torque demand. Stage 2 is where it is more likely to hit the limit. Am I misunderstanding what this check-box is for?

I'm sure I'll be corrected if I'm wrong, but it should be assumed you have a trans flash when you're going to run stage 2. If you don't have a trans flash, just stick to stage 1.

Stage 1 AND check the "I do NOT have xHP" checkbox.

Please see the new Stages Classifications below:

Stage 1: cars with fully stock exhaust system

Up to 430HP 610NM @ Crank – cars with stock exhaust system
Up to 410HP up to 580NM @ Crank - cars equipped additionally with Otto Particulate Filter (OPF)

8HP flash recommended to take full advantage of the maximum TQ , otherwise please select the marker
*8HP Flash NOT installed (550NM limit)* - mark this option when 8HP50 TCU flash is NOT installed


Stage2: Use only with high flow downpipe or high flow catalytic converter

Up to 470HP 650NM @Crank

Stage 2 minimum requirements are: downpipe + 8HP50 software so we decided to not implement additional marker in ST2 since most of the users who willing to have ST2 power and tq level have 8HP50 already programmed.

Yes, thanks. I didn't see/notice that the trans flash was considered part of the stage 2 requirements. That is the next item on my list now that I got the downpipe installed.
