Exhaust options for ‘13 x drive model? Bonus if in Canada
Hello all.
This is my first post; and I’ve scoured the threads for quite some time- so thanks for the help in advance I have a 2013 328i xDrive (N20), and have been endlessly searching for a decent cat-back exhaust system. I really enjoy the Ark Grip systems; as well as awe tuning and even aFe. I emailed Ark to ask if their system would fit the x drive model—and the owner emailed me back and said he has no idea (really?!) I’m also in Canada (specifically Ontario) so I’m limited with shops and parts up here. I’m a welder and plate fitter by trade and want to ensure the stainless used and welds are up to standard too- because I’ve seen a lot of junk being pumped out these days. I guess I just would like to hear who has used what brand and models on their own 328i Xdrives? Thanks again!

AWE offers what I think is the most exotic tone you can find as far as N20 exhausts go. My buddy has an AWE system on his S4 and the quality is quite good as far I can tell. Metal work looks clean and the overall material and build quality is very solid. I'm not a welder by trade though, so your expertise may give you a different impression lol. If you're willing to go away from the cat-back idea though, the MPE is excellent. Well built, decently priced (I got it for $700 on eBay), and sounds GREAT in my opinion. I personally think AWE and the M Performance Exhaust are the two best options on the market. AWE and MPE obviously both fit xDrive by the way.

I've got a 435i stock exhaust with dual chrome tips for sale. Very lightly used. If you wanted a lower cost option that looks significantly better. I'm located in Ontario. If you can weld it's a quite easy install. Pm if interested.

Second on the MPE. Kind of wish I did the 335 MPE conversion but still happy with the 328 variant.
If I had to do it over again, I would actually consider removing the baffling from the stock exhaust just to see how that would sound just for experimentation purposes. Also, I think theres an MPE for a 328 and seller is from Canada. Edit: dont know how to link other users but heres the classifieds link http://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho....php?t=1489220 |

I've got it on hold for him until next week. The 335 and 328 exhausts ultimately sound the same. The 328 version is actually louder on the N20. It really comes down to aesthetics and whether you want a single or dual outlet.

I always feel bad when I see you in the exhaust threads and I have to remember what that guy did... Lol.
Your AWE is awaiting... It just can't be mine because CHP would pull me over in a second if I side ported it lol.

I'm debating buying new at this point to be honest. But AWE also recently raised the price too.
