Hi Everyone
I have just been advised from BMW that the map update has been made available from this morning (Tuesday Feb 13th)

This is the advice

We have received confirmation from the support team in Munich that the Australia/NZ EVO 2017-2 Navigation Map Update has been made available as of this morning.

Please download the latest version of the BMW Download Manager from the BMW ConnectedDrive Portal before proceeding with the map download.

Just downloaded it. Finally works.

Downloading mine now.

Looks like you don't need the small file from the website to start downloading your map.

Just fire up the program and start download.

Yes the file is over 3gb. Just downloaded mine and installed no problems.
Very seemless installation.
I used the USB in the centre console and all up took about 4 minutes once download/extracted and copied to USB.

Make she you have an empty USB just to be safe the file has to be copied to the root directory,
The download does everything
It will download / extract and then will ask for the usb location and will extract to USB

Sorry but it won't help you as the download includes the FSC relevant to your VIN.

Unfortunately you have to do it yourself from connected drive portal so it knows your VIN

There are ways of generating an fsc code for your car.

If you host the file I can help nzcossie with an fsc code but I need the map to do it.

Anyone notice their traffic info being harder to read post map update. Dual carriageways seem to have the green/yellow/red coding on the inside which makes it somewhat hard to read.

Yes I have exactly the same problem with traffic info
To read it, I have to either zoom really out or really in, otherwise it can be hidden underneath

I updated the map at dealership to EVO 2018-01
traffic info is now displaying correct as it should.

Unfortunately Connected drive portal seems to be down at the moment so can't log in to download maps.
Hopefully they are there.

Which dealership loaded them for you. Did they say if the were available online or not?

Just checked connected drive portal (it is up and running now) and the only maps available are the EVO 2017-2.

Did the dealer say when the EVO 2018-1 maps would be available as they aren't available via connected drive.

More information would be handy

I complained to BMW and got the dealership to upgrade the map for me.

So which dealership did you get the EVO 2018-01 upgrade done.

I contacted my dealership and they advised me that the EVO 2017-02 is the latest.

How did you get the EVO 2018-01/

Please advise which dealer ship.

I saw 2018-1 come up today on the download manager.

cant seem to download though.

so odd that the gap between 2017-2 and 2018-1 was so short.

That is interesting as download manager is down.
I have contacted BMW Australia and have confirmed that download manager is not working.

I log in to connected drive portal select map updates and log in to download manager.

It then says select vehicle for map update and once selected doesn't go any further. It just sits there.
You never see anything about the version.

Curious as to how you saw the version.

Also 2017-02 was late being available due to it being a corrupted file and took BMW Germany some months to correct it. It was released months before it was available.

I believe we are supposed to get 2 per year.

I just want to know how the guy got it installed in Sydney as BMW Adelaide said there is no such version available.

Interesting.

BMW had better get their act together or I will be after compensation for not supplying the service which has been paid for.
