Hi shawnsheridan , can u please help me, I have M5 f90 2018 Germany version, and I took it back with me to Egypt, I want to change region country version, and want to install new map of country, also change language. My vin: g967371

That's requires a patch and proper FSC. There's no such a thing as steps.

Hi,
I have imported F25 with id5 (K1705) from USA and want to install ECE maps. I used hutool to patch my HU and have imported FSCs except 120. E-sys says FSC not OK: SW_NOT_EXISTENT. Something like it is expecting 121 code when I check FSC status from E-sys. Tried to put 120 on USB with maps 2022-1 but no luck - "connect usb drive with correct code". I'm new to this stuff and could have missed something, anybody help please?

Just to clarify my question, should I code something by to HU or change country version to fix the problem by myself or maybe somebody can explain the reason why 120 is not accepted and I should take advantages of payed service?

Hi Shawn,

hope you're able to shed some light on this, I've just imported a 2015 F32 from Japan to New Zealand and found out it came with a NBT EVO ID4 head unit. I've done the changes in VO coding to change the language and region to Australasia. Everything worked fine and the headunit is converted however now navigation greyed out. I've loaded NZ maps onto a USB and it prompts for an FSC code, I have a valid map FSC but when reading the data using bimmercode I found that since I did the region change the FSC for 00A0 - NBT Navi Application Harman says the activation code has been rejected and therefore I can not load the maps or access navigation. Where can I source a 00A0 code and how do I activate it? Is it USB based, manual entry or does it need to be loaded with E-SYS?

I've attached some pictures of the messages I'm getting on the Drive screen and a screenshot of my FSC codes status.

I would really appreciate any help on this.

I presume you changed 807 to 810 and 852 to 853, then VO Coded HU_NBT2 or did you flash it?

The A1 converted to A0 as it should, but it should not be Rejected. Did you let car sleep 30 minutes afterwards and recheck A0 to see if it is now Accpeted?

Its normal it is rejected. It always happens in case of NBT2

Yes that’s precisely what I did, I changed 807 to 810 and 852 to 853, then coded HU_NBT2 and KOMBI.

It’s been 2 days since I’ve done this so the car has definitely been off for more than 30 minutes.

My experience has always been with EVO ID5/6 Head Units, and after letting car sleep 30 minutes, the converted A0 becomes Status = Accepted. Maybe ID4 acts differently, or there is some other issue. Personally, I'd flash NBT with the modified FA, and then see if A0 becomes accepted.

Thanks for the reply Shawn, I have since had help flashing to ID6 which worked perfectly. I now have CarPlay and full NZ maps. ID4 just didn't want to do the region change unfortunately after trying various different methods to patch it.

Do you know where I could source a touch screen replacement and is it just plug and play or would I have to code the head unit so that it knows a touch screen is now installed.
