I think the 340i M sport looks the best on the wagon body. Low and sleek. The widebody rear fenders on that F81 just don't do it for me. But the color is killer.

I have called BMW NA and begged them to bring the 340i RWD F31 to the USA before the move production to Mexico. I probably have a better shot at winning the lottery.

You got that right ! In any case, the F31-328dxT that I drive is one fabulous car ! What a pity that BMWNA seems intent on dropping the Touring from the Mexican-built G2x generation. Thus, I plan of keeping my diesel Touring for a good many years.

Well, if they do continue to offer it in the G2x generation, it'd probably still be made in Germany, not Mexico. Even now, all F31s sold anywhere in the world (even China!) are built in Munich. I was quite surprised to a China-spec F31 going down the assembly line when I got a plant tour in August, and that was the explanation.

Got the 18" style 405M installed shod with Michelin X-Ice3 tires. Looks amazing in person.

Car rides really well with these wheels on too.

Good to hear. Been thinking more and more about buying this car out next year since we won't get a G21 here and had designs on getting the 405M. I forget, did you also do lowering springs? Wondering if you did how harsh the ride is.

Hey Spunty!

I agree about outright ownership. I leased mine but the plan all along was to buy it in the end. I'm not excited that NA killed the wagon for the US.

I still have stock springs, I've been toying with the idea of ACS springs eventually.

Same here with the ACS springs. I think if I buy this out, they'll go on for sure.

Only thing I'm bummed about is I can't get a FMIC since I have the adaptive cruise control unit up front.

Are those the 19" or 20" 405Ms?

I might be wrong but somehow I believe their still hope for the G21. As it was told earlier the G21 production will remain in Munich so if there is still enough production slot available and Bmw see a demand they might introduce the car later as the did with the F31. Anyway their G20 hecho en mexico is a no go for me.

And here's the CF shifter trim. I just order the shifter surround with the alcantara and CF, so will post some pics once installed. I think it adds a nice touch, it has a nice woven tactile feel, plus it gets rid of some unwanted chrome in the interior.

I almost pulled the trigger just to complete the CF look in the center console, but my deep, illogical hatred of alcantara won out and I skipped it. Just have the CF shifter trim by itself, and I really like it.

Yeah, I wanted to get the chrome off the area as I have the brushed chrome right next to shifter - my OCD was affected! I have seen the base trim wrapped... but that would be a hard match!
