Tacky badging
Why would someone do this to their car? I was strolling in NYC (meat packing district) and saw this yesterday.

I feel the same way about most badges. I really dislike any m-performance badges on the car (dash, or sideskirts) First thing I did, was debadge the car of both the 335 and xdrive badges. I don't know why badges bother me so much.

Its the first thing I did as well...Just pull each letter or badge off with a screw driver(be careful)...scrape the two sided backing off with your fingernail...I use some goo-be-gone to clean up the remaining sticky crap, Vualla The car looks much better!

Interesting, never thought of that...I suppose thats a much safer way! Im lucky I have never scratched my car debadging. My friend did it once and left a 3 inch deep scratch in his paint...I told him he shoulda just left the badges lol!

That's how I do it too. Then afterwards, I always use a wire brush to remove any residue.

Absolutely. The residue can be troublesome from time to time. I usually like to hit the area with some polishing compound on a micro-fiber towel when it's all said and done. Just gotta be sure it's a high quality and clean micro-fiber to avoid swirls.
