E85
I accidentally pumped 6 gallons of E85. I usually only pump 3.5 gallons with no issues. Could I mess something up due to this?

with the bm3 E30 map you can safely run 4.25 gals of E85 with 11.75 gals of 93 octane to give you a true E30 blend if you have a strong HPFP. At 6 and 10 respectively, you are at an E38 blend. Just drive conservatively until you burn an 1/8 of a tank and top off with 93.

What gas are you mixing it with and what tune/map are you running?
I believe his calculations above assume you are mixing E85 that contains 85% ethanol with 93 that contains 10% ethanol, and you fill completely to 16 gallons total with nothing else. Unless you have an ethanol sensor you dont really know what %E you are getting from the pump... I know my local E85 station states 55-83% on the pump for E85. I run it in my 3000gt because i just have the tune a bit rich and dont need a precise E content, but don't know if i will ever run a E map in my 335 without an ethanol sensor. |
