I've pressed the reset button more than once, but nothing is happening. The device is not booting up.
Im not sure how the hard reset of the CCC unit will solve this problem, because the CCC is working fine and I can hear radio. Just that the Avin Unit stuck

Yes aux in and aux chosen on idrive. Seeing as i was able to hear nokia sound once on phone dial. Tells me connection isnt an issue i think??? What do you reckon?

The only other trouble shooting I can think of is to plug a set of headphones into the Avin Aux out instead of the 3.5mm cord. If you still don't hear anything you can at least rule out a BMW side issue. Your problem would hopefully be in the settings somewhere and not a hardware issue.

I will try, however my factory aux still works i can still listen to music on my idrive and aux so i dont think its bmw issue

Does the gen2 unit switch the screen to backup camera and/or topview/surround view, once placed in reverse? I was watching a review where it had to be done manually.

In most cases the gen1 would do so properly, oem backup camera on the android side. In my case it would not, and only on the iDrive side as expected. I have a gen2 on the on way, and that will be the first thing I check and also will post an updated review.

Hmm, that would be a deal killer for me, would love to have the bigger screen and higher res but not at the cost of having to manually switch it for the cameras. Does anyone have a vid of the top view working?

Mine is Gen2 and it automatically switch to backup camera once on reverse in the oem side or android side. The only back side that it pauses music completely once your on reverse.

Mine does not mute the volume but it does turn it down very quiet so you can hear the sensors same as when using OEM sensor screen
