They are laser lights, says so on the headlight and was already confirmed a while ago they’d be an option on G20. Will be horrendously expensive though no doubt!

Not a fan of the interior. Too much black plastic in front of the passenger and the steering wheel looks nasty.

Much prefer round ones, like the tips on my MPPSK 440i. They should have done it the other way round, with round tips on the M Sport and above models and trapezoidal on the rest. Doh.

It won’t have them. M cars and M lites don’t.

Not sure if I like it or not. Some angles look better than others and the front looks a bit fussy for my liking. Odd looking vertical trim on the outer edges of the M sport bumper.
Will reserve judgment though until proper photos are available and/or I see one in the flesh.

While I think they were originally Ł8k on an i8, it looks like they currently cost Ł2,450 on a 7 Series, so my guess would be Ł2k for the 3 Series.

That would’t be too bad, still Ł700 more than adaptives on 5 series though. Unfortunately it looks like if you want the hexagonal DRL’s you will need to spec the laser lights!

Not sure about it, I don't like the boot line falling away from the rear screen they have then tried to swoop it back up but cars look more purposeful when the boot line doesn't fall away like that.

The interior looks nice a part from the big gaping hole in the dash but the seats look like an improvement on the current ones.

For me it's the lack of progress around the powertrain that irks from what I've read it's just the same again with a bit more power but only a bit more.

The front I actually like although it looks a bit aggressive for a 320d model.

Is this the m-sport?
-The steering wheel isn't as nice looking as the current m-sport
-The interior is ok I wouldn't rate it any better than current just some trim here and there
-The exterior is generally more aggressive w/ coup like front
-The lights are growing on me I didn't think I'd like them
-The grills are too pronounced I agree black would tame them
-The accompanying rims are.. meh
-Love the pronounced trim around the round exhausts
-Hate the optional polygonal exhausts
-Rear trunk look good from angle.. hideous square on.. the lines are off

I dunno I still like the F30 overall styling better.. what about you guys?
Can't wait til driving reviews come out on this puppy

I like it and I've told my dealer to stop pestering me about the 0% deals on the F30/F31 as I will be getting the m340i once it's available.

Agree, .. although it will most likely grow on us in time.

I remember when the E90 first came out in 2005, I thought it looked ugly compared to the E46, but by around 2008 it had grown on me and parked up side by side the E46 had started to look very dated next to it.

The pre-LCI E90 remains a very bland design in my view. By 2008, the LCI had given it some edge, improving it significantly.

In the case of the G20, it certainly isn't bland, although some elements won't appeal to all. I suspect that this is a design that won't need a major LCI, just like the F30 was good from day one.

Overall, fairly under-whelmed.

The exterior design evolution is utterly glacial and non-existant, and as bad as Aldi. No wonder folk are bored of saloons and buying SUVs. It really is much the same as before but with increased fussiness to the front and rear.

Overall, the front looks okish, but the rear is managing to look fussy and bland at the same time somehow.

The interior does seem to look nice though, and a nice freshening up. I guess the normal dials are for the cheap cars and full digital set up a pricey extra, but to my eyes the classic dials almost seem the more premium option, with classic simplicity.

Apparently they are going to have 48v mild hybrid, so that should improve the powertrains somewhat.
