The interior looks nice a part from the big gaping hole in the dash but the seats look like an improvement on the current ones.

For me it's the lack of progress around the powertrain that irks from what I've read it's just the same again with a bit more power but only a bit more.

The front I actually like although it looks a bit aggressive for a 320d model.
Apparently they are going to have 48v mild hybrid, so that should improve the powertrains somewhat.
Would be interesting if the engine in the x2 35i is used by the 330i lci would be a nice combo but doubt it as it's too close to the 340i

And the F30 boot falls away from the rear screen:

Apparently gives 2/3 of the performance and economy improvement of full hybrid for 1/3 of the implementation cost.

The G30 is no beauty but it just looks like a BMW and sells reasonably well.
The G20 will be the same, OKish in appearance. If it drives well and the price is right we'll buy one.
A good interior with great seats is essential.

Garage List
The rear looks very GS350 and the front looks like an X3 met an I8 and had some type of baby car that should have never been. Interior is nice but I’ve always loved analog gauges on all cars so digital dash is whatever. Not doing much for me atm, but only in person will tell.

Yes, this is what I meant by the normal dials looking like the premium option compared to the full on digital dash option! Unless there is key funtionality that the digital dash has that you can't get in the central display my preference will be classic dials plus HUD.

Overall it looks a fresher design, but still like a BMW should.

Just looking at the M340i pic and looks like they have gone with the same honeycomb kidney grill as per the new Z4.

What happened to the kidney grill slats? I hope that this is not a new design direction.

One slight concern is that I'm not seeing hot/cold air blender functionality on the centre vents. Such a small thing, but one that I've got used to over many years with BMWs, as quite like to have a toasty cabin but with some cooler air to the face.

Lots of small little buttons on the centre console means more time spent looking for the right button then keeping your eye on the roads.

I should think it's like the G30, it's done on screen, accessed by pressing the 'menu' button to the left of the one this guy is pressing:

Yeah I was looking for that too but couldn't see anything on the pic.

To be fair those new Centre vents look very low down anyway, more aimed towards the stomach (maybe chest if angled upwards) rather than face!

Much lower down though compared to the F30 (ignore the arrow, only quick pic I could find):
