So the jump in performance from stock to BM3 Stage 1 is overwhelmingly noticeable?

Also, will it auto change the burbles I'm getting now, or will i have to mess with that setting for it to change anything?
I think the burble frequency i get now is perfect. Wouldn't want it to increase or decrease.

YEs, huge difference in power delivery and you can set burbles to OEM which is the stock setting.

Not that you need another person to tell you to do bm3, but do that. Shifts the torque curve way left so your butt dyno will be very pleased. It's like 60-80 hp/tq increase in the low RPM range.

FWIW, I ordered from Mike @ x-ph and got the cord in 2 days and had the activation code in like 20 minutes. You'll either need a laptop, or build a raspberry pi wifi agent box for like $50: https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1484555

Definitely BM3, especially for the price versus the other more expensive mods you mentioned. Spend the extra $50 so you have Octane tunes to play with, and can move to Stage2 whenever you want.

Fabspeed catted DP is awesome. Couldn't be happier with mine and with BM3 Stage2 that I installed about five minutes later!

You didn't mention brakes or spring/damper mods. I'd do them before bumpers. Especially since you are adding power, unless you already have M Sport brakes standard. Add stainless steel brake lines to give better pedal feel.
Good luck!

Why do you have M3 control arms? What is the advantage?

Body roll. Handling. Front end input response. Cornering. Grip. The negative degree of camber it adds looks cool to me and it makes cornering really fun.

Also, I had them for a previous car and never got to put them on. Upgraded the previous vehicle with turner motorsport upper control arms and it improved the handling exponentially. Had these laying around from that same purchase and never got around to installing them on the last vehicle, so i figured why not.

Guess i shouldn't have listed that.

What do you mean by breaking up?

Also, do you think it can be contributed to stage 2 and the accompanying required mods or just BM3 as a whole?

What about 6mT vs 8 speed Auto? Could that be a factor?

More of a PWG vs EWG...seems a few people have had issues with PWG vehicles on bm3.

I haven't heard of anyone really having issues on EWG that could not be attributed to HPFP and/or plugs.

You probably don't need another vote for the BM3 but here it is anyway. Also I think you need to figure out whats more important to you: performance or appearance. I tend to do a little of both. The bumpers imo are gonna be expensive and time consuming. The tune is pretty quick once you get the license and cables.

Personally, I did downpipe first before others. If I had to choose from the list you provided downpipe and then tune.

I did the stage one from stock. Definitely difference in the car. I also did the trans tune. Now I am gonna do pipes but leave it as stage one until I do a fuel pump upgrade. I can hear the pump chattering when I'm WOT.
