Recently moved to a new country and needed to change my adaptive bi-xenon headlamps from LHD to RHD to pass an inspection.

Long story short, I changed the headlamps + modules and I think I coded everything successfully through ESYS and also taught the modules through ISTA+. Cool right? However, now I see a Headlamp vertical aim control error inside the car and when running ISTA+ I get 1 fault and it's a LWR system faulty. The issue is my high beams aren't working and that's ALL I need that to pass my inspection.

Has anybody ever seen this? I added any info that I thought would be revenant below. Any help would be much appreciated, so I can finally pass this inspection. Thanks!

So weirdly now everything is green in ESYS but there's still no high beams.

Also weirdly when u pull the high beam in Auto mode it seems like it's moving to the right like the shutter works somewhat but no high beam.

What did you code in e-sys?

I went from adaptive to non-adaptive xenons and had the headlamp vertical aim error after VO coding out the adaptive xenons, coded LWR_AHL_TYP to "ohne" and FLC_AKTIV to nicht aktiv
I now don't have HBA as a result (seems disabled in the coding, as the icon doesn't light up on the dash anymore) but the headlights themselves work, including high beam. Setting the headlights to Auto just results in the headlights turning on, regardless of day/night, but I haven't put much effort into troubleshooting it as the headlights themselves work.

had a german friend do some translating. LWR_AHL_TYP to "auto.dyn. LWR" re-enabled my HBA (auto.dyn. LWR_AHL is the adaptive) and re-enabled FLC_AKTIV, headlights are now working as they were before, with the exception of the adaptive function

did you get the headlights new or used? as far as I know D1S bulbs have 1 brightness output and low/highbeam is just done with the shutters - are you sure the shutters in the headlights are actually moving?

I'm thinking maybe these part numbers just aren't applicable to my car. Any thoughts? Maybe the shutters aren't moving but when I did some tests In esys it looked like something was moving

A thought that might help. Xenon’s have a single headlight with shutters, halogens have two headlights, so perhaps you’ve used coding for halogens and that is why shutters don’t work.
Put the original xenon’s back in and see what happens.

Miss the days when you could jsut rotate the projectors 20degrees manually in the housings to change from RHD to LHD.
