Removing Vinyl wrap on the roof!
Hi,
As parting out my vehicles back into stock to sell the car, I have wrapped the roof of the vehicle about three years ago or so. It was gloss black; but with the sun, it is now Matte black. I tried to take off the vinyl on a hot day, but it won't come off easy. when i pull it, it comes off and cracks pretty soon. Anyone have any tips on dealing with this? I am thinking about going to shop to take it off, but few of them declined the service when i even gave them a call. If anyone knows a shop that can take off the wrap without making a major scratch; please let me know! Thank you, |

I've had good luck with hair dryers and (carefully) heat guns.
However, I've had some poor quality wraps that come off in very small pieces and leave all the glue behind. Hopefully that is not your case, but your wrap shouldn't typically be matte after only a few years in my experience.
