Anyone else tow with their F30?
And if so, how much more aggressive do you get with your maintenance?
Just curious, I’m sure a lot of our European members do. Using the same trailer, I haul either kayaks (less than 500lb including trailer) or my ATV (about 1000lbs including trailer). Handles it well, really don’t notice anything back there for the most part. ZF transmission seems stout, but I plan on fluid changing at 40-50k. Oil changes every 5k with Pennzoil Platinum Euro 5W-30.

I may suggest differential axle oil change more frequently as well.

Glad I'm not the only one!
I was shocked to find out (although I can't find the source to cite it right now) that the F30 was rated to tow up to 3500 lbs. Not that I would, and I think my setup is limited to about 2000. Wouldn't tow that much with it either, although it certainly feels capable enough to do so. Does a great job for me up to that 1000 pounds, though. Only notice a moderate increase in stopping distance and a little drag accelerating uphill. Towing the ATV I still manage about 25 mpg on average.

From my end, I've used my F31 to tow a handful of times. Most commonly with Uhaul trailers to move furniture / move across the country. Have a Stealth Hitch on my car and it works out great for towing. I'd say the larger Uhaul was at the limits / above what the car could handle, but I didn't help it any with a subtle lowering springs in the rear.
