Chickens are actually a really good idea. Don't get the dark brown ones though because they're mean as hell.

Rhode Island Reds (the dark brown ones) lay the best eggs, the most consistently

Our Plymouth Rocks lay the best eggs IMO. Our Rhode Island Reds lay the most frequently however.

Oh god, so much work

There are forums that will tell you how to make them grow and soon you'll be like I and orchids.

Kill them when they are young. Do it now.

Cactus plants are very resilient. Keep it in the dark for months with barely any water and it'll survive. I water mine once a week (just a bit) and it's pretty healthy right now.
i went through this, just say no.

I would rather get a pet crow.

Lol. Yeah, I don't think she was that serious and I was never going to be on board with it either. I have two dogs and that's enough.

Maybe he's got 6 chicks... I didn't really count them, but i recall his wife stating that they get 5 eggs a day.

A friend of mine just got some chicks too. They look cute enough, but I can't see myself cleaning up after them.

Can it be eaten? I just went to Publix (our grocery chain) and got a cactus pear. It wasn't bad

If Trump gets elected then just wait for the wall to go up and get a Mexican, lowest maintenance you'll ever find and will help you with the DIY projects too.

Disclaimer: just a joke Mexico, as is the Donald. Except he's a really bad one.

I built a little cactus terrarium in an old fishbowl that I kept on my desk at work.

Those things are incredibly hardy. I had a stubby round guy, a tall flowering guy, and a few pencil plants in case I needed to poison anyone in the office.

Most of them were overrun with mold when I overwatered it before going on vacation...oops. It was at that point that I put the lid on it to seal the mold in and didn't touch it anymore. The pencil plants were still alive and green 3+ months later when I left that job.

Get a Tarantula. They require just about as much maintenance as a goldfish does.
One cricket once ever 2 weeks or so and water ever few days.
