Which are the correct bearing bolts

About to use the official bearing repair kit to stop suspension clicking (comes about after making suspension changes).

I need to undo the bearing which means I will need to replace the bolts as they're all torque to yield.. however I cannot for the life of me figure out which are the correct ones.

31206872920 - M12X1.25X45
31206783065 - M12X1,5X45-10.9

I did work this out a while ago but I have since forgot! Basically BMW switched the thread pitch on their bearings mid production.

My car is a March 2015 435i F32.

Try realoem.com and put in your VIN. It may shed some light on which of these bolts to use.

+1.

RealOEM does list it correctly based on the part number of the actual wheel bearing. However, it takes a bit of interpretation skill to figure it out.

You can actually cross reference your findings with the OE wheel bearings on FCPEuro. There will be a disclaimer that tells you the correct bolt part numbers for the bearing part number.

get sets of both from fcp euro and return the ones you don't use. Are you repairing the bearing and not replacing it?

I'm not sure how you "repair" it.

Unfortunately it's dealer only as I'm in the UK - they'll only accept returns on unopened packaged bolts and they're asking for £10 a bolt, so that's £160 in bolts I'm fairly sure it's "31206783065 - M12X1,5X45-10.9" for anyone else researching this.. my conclusion came down to the fact BMW moved away for Torx driven bolts to Torx Plus, the second part number shorts a Torx Plus head.

The repair kit is made for people having a clicking noise under load turning. It usually comes about the second you adjust ride height. What happens is corrosion builds up between the bearing face and hub face, you have to sand it down and then apply the repair adhesive to prevent any further corrosion before refitting your old bearing.

This was released after the teflon discs only provided a mid-term solution to the clicking noise.
