They are quoting $200 for shipping MPPK to me, I'd rather get it via ebay with free shipping or maybe getbmwparts has free shipping too.

Yeah I know bmw parts pros prices are cheaper but it may cost more with shipping. You could just show the price without shipping to your local dealer and see if they'll price match.

Good idea, that usually works, thanks.

You're welcome. That's actually what I did and the dealer price matched to pretty close to their price acknowledging I would have to pay for shipping. Also you should try to negotiate the installation labor by comparing what others are paying. Another site I crossed shopped was BMW of Fairfax which at the time was the cheapest so that was actually the quote I used. But I checked more recently and they were more expensive, the prices change all the time and there are promotions all the time like during holidays and Black Friday or cyber Monday.

I think last time they quoted me 2hrs of labor for installing MPPK, which will be around $400. I think it is at max one hour job, mostly the flash tune part.

Yeah I did ask them if I could install it myself and only pay for flash tune which they said you could but I paid about that much for them to install and flash. Also I edited the earlier post you can also check BMW of Fairfax they have a parts ordering site that ships anywhere in the lower 48 I believe. It was cheaper than the other sites but the prices change so it may not be now.

So it was around $400 to install MPPK or did you have MPPSK installed?
MPPSK takes 340 close to M340i in terms of power. My N55 is probably 30hp short

Yes I have 340 so it was mppsk. It takes it to 355 HP and 369 lb ft. So torque is the same as m340i but 27 less HP. Didn't really notice that much difference when driving stock m340 to be honest. MPPK for N55 brings it close to stock 340 power.

I believe stock 340 is 326hp? 335/435 is 306hp. MPPK adds about 35hp to newer N55 cars (I believe there is some connection with EWG). So it should be 341hp vs 361hp for cars with MPPK/MPPSK?

It may be bhp figures you're quoting. It is similar to hp but slightly higher. I'm use to seeing it quoted as 320 HP and 330 lb ft for stock 340 and 300 HP and 300 lb ft for stock 335. I believe mppk brings it to 320 Hp for N55 but maybe 326 lb ft or something I'm not too sure.

Yes for some older N55 cars MPPK only adds 15 or 20hp(I believe pre 2016), the newer models get a bigger bump of 35hp

For 15 HP it really isn't worth it lol.

haha, definitely, however 35hp is like 10% of my car's power, getting that plus retaining warranty isn't too bad, I still have 2 years of warranty left. I'll probably get it after this winter, snowing here right now, already got the MPE installed earlier this year.

Nice. I believe the mppk adds a new intake so it may change the sound a little more in addition to MPE. Having the warranty is why I went with mppsk plus the exhaust sounds awesome. Definitely feel a difference with the butt dyno compared to stock more midrange punch and power across rev range but have since gotten used to it.

That's right. I'm glad I got the MPE, it sounds so much better now, will get better after MPPK, along with the louder turbo swoosh due to the new air intake.
