Can I run Redline mt-Lv mixed with Shockproof Superlight in my 6m? That's the best combination I'm hearing.

I have a 6MT also and just changed it from original BMW oil that was in it to Redline MTL. Car only had 16k miles on it. The two oil's appeared to be about same viscosity but different in color. As for shifting it was probably a hair bit smoother than the original stuff. Feels awesome. Now that the temp has so unusually gotten down to 14 degrees here in Texas I have been driving it to see how it worked in the cold. Just a hair bit notchy when cold but goes away quickly. So unlike my 2002 E46 5MT it got pretty notchy with MTL and I usually put Redline D4 in it.

I think Redline calls for d4atf in the tranny or maybe my mechanic was thinking I have an auto? Mtl sounds good. What's the capacity 2l?

Redline is telling me their dctf would be best for my tranny.

Gonna run liquimoly 8100 with the recommended amount of ms2o for gears. All the dctf oils are ideally mixed for dct transmissions and not manual transmissions. So I'll benefit from adding some friction reducer. Just have to add the correct amount as to not make it too slippery for the synchros. Should make for a fast and very smooth tranny.
