Will probably sell my 513m set with 255/40 square tires if anyone is interested. Just need to figure out what to replace it with! 🤔

It's really not too aggressive. I'm lowered on H&R springs and went with 245/40 18x9 et29 square with zero rubbing or issues with this setup. No extra camber and BMW recommended alignment specs.

I think both look amazing on the car. I do like the 513M's a bit better thanks to the last picture.

On a side now, which front lip and side extensions do you have? Did you body match them?

Lip and extensions are both BMW Performance and extensions are paint matched, not the lip.

Sorry for digging this up but what struts did you use with the H&R springs? I love the look with the 359’s so bought a set along with H&R springs and 245/40 PS4S tires. I’m about to put the springs on but I’m reading comments from others saying the ride is awful and the EDC struts bottom out.

Not to thread jack, to give tom6433 another perspective, I went with 19x9.5 Apex SM-10's with H&R and I ended up running Bilstein B8's as they weren't much more than the B6s. The setup is PERFECT. I could not have asked for a better ride and handling out of the F31. Hope this helps.

The B8’s are not EDC compatible unfortunately and while I could ditch it, I’d prefer to keep it if possible. The B6’s have an EDC compatible option but are on backorder everywhere I look. They are the same height as the stock struts from what I’ve seen so it’s not clear to me why they would be any different than the stock adaptive suspension.

Correct, sorry my F31 does not have EDC. That being said, I ditched it on my E92 M3 when I went with Ohlins and never thought about it again. If you get good valved shocks, you wont miss the EDC.

I'm running 513M OEM Staggered with 255/40/18 PS4S all around. Lowered on ACS Springs and stock struts. Looks basically the same as above and the ride is perfect. Heard similar comments about H&R springs being harsh so I went with ACS - but they are 2-3x the cost.

hey guys, relatively new to the forum in terms of posting and not sure the etiquette on resurrecting old threads, but this discussion is exactly what I'm debating - leaning towards 513s, but considering both wheels and had a couple questions for dimeo187

- do the 359s bolt right up, or do you need spacers?
- it's hard to tell from the photos, are you getting any poke with the 513s as set up with 255/40?

359m’s bolt right up and fit really well in the rear. They poke ever so slightly in the front but if you’re lowered an inch or so it should tuck enough at the top to be acceptable. Everyone has their own opinion on the right amount of poke though.

Thanks tom, the 359m looks very close to flush. Are you running them on an F31?

Yes, a black F31 just like the OP’s pics. I have the stock wheels on it now with snow tires else I could snap some pics for you from whatever angles you wanted. If you’re still undecided in a few months, tag me and I’ll send pics.

513m but think the rear tyre could be meatier..

245x40 and 265x35 rear might work better.

I dont think this will be within transfer case compliancy? I believe you could go:

245/40/18
274/35/18

Does it matter unless Xdrive? (Not supposed to sound arsey, I don't know the answer..)

However on sidewall height you're right.. Best two options are what you've stated above and

255/40 f
265/40 r

Which is what I run on 9 and 9.5 APEX.

I built a great spreadsheet for calculating all fitment factors Inc sidewall height ratio front to rear... it's nice to be able to use it again 😁
