The main differences from the "B58B30M1" found in the X5 G05 40i are:

11657934332 Turbo charger
11138580126 Oil Pan
11148657310 Acoustic cover for oil pan
11128691779 Cyl.head cover w/o pressure ctrl.valve
11418646453 Oil pump
11148676210 Engine cover

But Im not sure what "this B58" means. There are some minor differences in the unit found in 340i's over the new x5 or z4.

Interesting tidbit here...

“The B58 debuted a few years ago but this updated iteration gets a new cooling system, head, timing chain, oil pump and a forged crankshaft. The block and air induction system have been modified, and the new high-pressure direct-injection fueling system is rated at 5,076 psi (350 bar), up from 3,626 psi (250 bar).”

I believe that quote refers to the B58 TU1 found in the new Z4 M40i ect. (Not necessarily incorrect, as these are changes over the orginal B58)

There are differences between the B58 TU1 and the unit for the supra.

This was a quote based on the G05 platform..I would assume this update spreads upon the whole spectrum for 2019 cars?

The 2016-2018 B58 has a Forged Crank as well. Seems fueling and revision to VANOS and turbo major differences.

thats an amazing question that should really be answered haha.

apparently the N55 guys are trying to use our (b58) fuel pump for something like a 15% increase in fuel.
