BM3 Stage 2 FBO

have been running this setup for about 10k with new OEM plugs. I feel like at WOT in 2nd and 3rd gear the throttle really cuts out on the car.

sport plus mode, is this just traction control? I run 94 Octane.

I have 6mt, Doing some testing today it must be the traction control. The car feels much better pulling in these gears with traction control completely off, yes it spins but at least its not cutting out throttle.

I thought sport + had more aggressive mapping, but researching today it looks like they just manipulate throttle input.

With Traction control off does the exhaust flap still open like in sport +?

What do you guys run daily and when spirited driving?

You should really log it. More and more people with n55 6mt stage 2 are experiencing issues that appear to be clutch slipping which is actually the dme detecting misfire via clutch slippage and dumping boost.

Happens to me in 3rd as well but I believe my issue is the torque limiter. The car pulls like a freight train in 1st and 2nd, 3rd gear it falls flat on it's face and 4th it picks back up.

That is the ZF8HP45 torque limiter in 3rd and 6th gear you are experiencing there. See this thread for details.

ptf recommends getting the NGK 97506 and gapping them at .018 I had the same issue as you when I had oem plugs. they were misfiring. the oem plugs had 70k on them. when I switched them out they were covered in carbon. the oem gap on the plugs is to wide. when your forcing increased boost into the engine it is whiping out the spark. if you notice I bet it's around 3k rpm right where your power band is beginning to kick in at its highest boost point. I sent my logs to ptf and posted them on here. I got my er chargepipe and ngk spark plugs done the same day. no more stutter. also grap an afe pro dry s drop in filter.

another side note is if you are in sport plus mode the traction control is still on, if you hit a slight bump it can cause hesitation. hold down the DSC button above where you change from comfort to sport for 5 seconds to turn DSC OFF. traction control will then be off. do some logs in dsc off mode. good luck man this issue was a headache but I'm sure it's your spark plugs.

Thank you!!

you are right main issue was sport mode so im going to be driving with traction control off from now on.

I will do some testing and if the problem is still there, Ill get some logs.

My plugs were just installed brand new can I re-gap the stock plugs or do I need new plugs?
